## The short version

- Big Brand Tire & Service is a California tire and repair chain founded in 1969 and run by Majco LLC. Percheron Capital has backed it since 2021, and since October 2025 it has been held in a fund co-led by Blue Owl, ICONIQ and Warburg Pincus.
- Its directory lists 182 stores in 17 states, and 67 of them carry a “Formerly” notice naming the chain they used to be. Four more chains keep their own names on Big Brand’s website templates: Burt Brothers, American Tire Depot, Robertson Tire and Tucker Tire.
- Big Brand agreed to buy Belle Tire in July 2026. On 16 October 2026 neither Big Brand nor Percheron had posted a notice that the deal had closed.
- The written warranty is 6 months or 6,000 miles on repairs. Tires get a pro-rata defect warranty to the last 1/16 inch of tread, and “Road hazards are not covered.” We found no road hazard plan.
- Flat repair is free “Even if you did not purchase the tires from us,” within six rules. One turns away any tire older than 6 years.
- Renamed stores say old warranties transfer, without saying on what terms, and each brand’s warranty sends you back to that brand’s own stores.

Big Brand Tire & Service is a tire and auto repair chain based in Moorpark, California, that has grown by buying local tire shops and usually putting its own name on them. It prints a 6-month or 6,000-mile warranty on repairs and a pro-rata warranty against tire defects, sells no road hazard plan we could find, and repairs flats free whoever sold you the tire. On 16 October 2026 we read its warranty, service, credit, discount, store directory and Terms of Use pages, the same pages on four sister sites, two Percheron Capital releases, the July 2026 Belle Tire announcement and a Blue Owl Capital Corporation filing with the SEC. This site has no commercial relationship with Big Brand or any tire seller.

**Figure: What Big Brand's warranty and free flat repair cover, situation by situation**

A two-column table of eight situations: a flat in a tire bought elsewhere is repaired free if it passes six rules (in the tread, under 1/4 inch, at least 2/32 inch of tread); a tire more than 6 years old is not repaired; road hazard damage is not covered and no plan is printed; a defective tire is replaced pro rata down to the last 1/16 inch with the original receipt; a failed repair is covered for 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever occurs first; renamed stores say old warranties transfer without stating terms; claims at the other Majco banners are not addressed; and the warranty is for the original purchaser only.

Read from Big Brand Tire & Service's warranty, flat repair and store pages, and the four other banners' warranty pages, on 16 October 2026.

## Who owns Big Brand Tire & Service

The company behind the stores is Majco LLC. Big Brand’s privacy policy speaks for “Majco LLC DBA Big Brand Tire & Service,” and every page footer reads “© Copyright 2026 Majco LLC.” The Terms of Use, though, say the site is owned by “The Big Brand Tire & Service Corporation,” and the trademark line names Big Brand Tire & Service Corporation. No document explains how the names relate, so check which one is on your invoice.

Above Majco is private equity. Big Brand’s July 2026 release says it has partnered with Percheron Capital since 2021. Percheron’s [release of 2 October 2025](https://percheron.com/media/percheron-accelerates-growth-of-big-brand-tire/) announced “the closing of a $1.625 billion recapitalization” through a “single-asset continuation vehicle,” a fund formed to hold Big Brand alone, “co-led by funds managed by Blue Owl Capital, ICONIQ, and Warburg Pincus.” Percheron says revenue grew “more than tenfold” after 2021, and chief executive Joe Buscaglia speaks of plans to “expand to 1,000 service centers.”

A public filing ties the names together. Blue Owl Capital Corporation’s [quarterly report for the period ended 30 June 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1655888/000165588826000056/obdc-20260630.htm) lists a “First lien senior secured loan” to “MAJCO LLC (dba Big Brand Tire & Service),” due in September 2032, and an “LP Interest” in “Percheron Horsepower-A LP (dba Big Brand Tire & Service),” acquired in September 2025. A Blue Owl fund is both lender to the store operator and investor in the Percheron partnership carrying Big Brand’s name. We did not record the dollar amounts, which describe Blue Owl’s holdings, not your bill.

Big Brand calls itself “the acquirer of choice in the industry,” and its website carries a “Sell Your Tire Business” form asking shop owners for their revenue and bay count. A familiar local shop can become a Big Brand store, as 67 of them have.

## The Belle Tire purchase: agreed, not shown closed

On 16 July 2026, Big Brand announced “a definitive agreement to acquire Belle Tire,” the Michigan chain whose home page counted 185 locations when this site read it on 9 October 2026. The transaction “remains subject to customary closing conditions” and “is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026,” and it “propels Big Brand past $1.5 billion in revenue.” The release praises Belle Tire’s “trusted brand” without saying whether the stores keep their name, and prints no price and nothing about customers’ plans or warranties. Big Brand’s Terms forbid links to its site without written permission, so we name the release rather than link it.

The third quarter ended on 30 September. On 16 October, 92 days after the announcement, the only news item on Big Brand’s About page was still the July release, it was still the newest item on [Percheron’s news list](https://percheron.com/), and Big Brand’s directory listed no store in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana or Illinois. As far as these documents show, the deal was agreed but not confirmed as closed. Our fetch script re-checks Percheron’s list and flags any newer item.

Belle Tire customers keep Belle Tire’s terms, recorded on our [Belle Tire page](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/belle-tire/). Its optional [Tire Protection Plan](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/belle-tire/#tire-protection-plan) runs until 3/32 inch of tread or 3 years from purchase, whichever comes first, and “is honored at any of our 180+ Belle Tire locations.” Neither company says whether Big Brand stores will honor it. Keep your invoices: Big Brand’s renamed stores, below, say only that warranties “transfer.”

## How many stores, and the chains that keep their own names

Big Brand’s pages give four store counts: “530+ Locations nationwide” on the home page; 182 store addresses under 17 state headings in the directory, matching the fleet page’s “182 locations across 17 states”; “174 locations across 15 states” on each renamed store’s notice; and a careers page still describing a chain in “Central and Southern California” growing “throughout the Southwestern United States.” By our arithmetic, the home page claims 348 more stores than the directory lists.

Part of the gap may be stores under other names. Four tire chains run websites on Big Brand’s templates, with the same Majco LLC copyright and Terms of Use. Each site says it is “owned and operated by” a corporation in its own name, under California law, and none mentions Big Brand; Burt Brothers’ About page is Big Brand’s text with the name changed. Percheron confirms one: on 30 October 2025 it announced that Big Brand “has closed the acquisition of Burt Brothers Tire & Service.” For the other three, the shared Majco copyright and identical pages are the only link we found. It is the pattern our [Town Fair Tire page](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/town-fair-tire/#who-owns-town-fair) found with Mavis, an owner the store’s site never names.

**Chains whose websites carry a Majco LLC copyright, from each site’s own directory and terms (read 16 October 2026)**

| Name on the sign | Owner named in its Terms of Use | Stores in its directory | Count on its home page |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Big Brand Tire & Service | The Big Brand Tire & Service Corporation | 182, in 17 states | 530+; “since 1969” |
| American Tire Depot | The American Tire Depot Corporation | 94: 92 in California, 1 in Arizona, 1 in Oregon | 94+ |
| Burt Brothers Tire & Service | The Burt Brothers Tire & Service Corporation | 30, all in Utah | 29+; “since 1991” |
| Robertson Tire | The Robertson Tire Corporation | 18, all in Oklahoma | 18+; “since 1962” |
| Tucker Tire | The Tucker Tire Corporation | 2, both in California | None printed |

By our arithmetic the five directories list 326 stores, no address twice; adding Belle Tire’s 185 gives 511, near the home page’s “530+” but not equal. Big Brand does not explain its figure or say whether it counts Belle Tire. A search result named a Midwest chain as another Big Brand purchase, but its website carries its own copyright and no primary document we read links the two, so we leave it out. If a store with another name sold you tires or a repair, that brand’s warranty page is the one that covers you.

## Renamed stores, and what happens to their old warranties

Most chains Big Brand buys lose their name. In the store data behind the directory, 67 of the 182 stores show a notice such as “Formerly Roadmaster Tire Pros,” under 50 former names; the largest groups are five former First Tire & Automotive stores and four former Integrity Car Care stores. Outside California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Texas, every Big Brand store is a renamed one.

**Big Brand stores by state, and how many carry a “Formerly” notice (directory, counted 16 October 2026)**

| State | Stores | With a “Formerly” notice |
| --- | --- | --- |
| California | 73 | 19 |
| Arizona | 37 | 3 |
| Texas | 23 | 16 |
| Nevada | 13 | 0 |
| Colorado | 8 | 1 |
| Utah | 6 | 6 |
| Oregon | 4 | 4 |
| Arkansas, Idaho, Tennessee | 3 each | 3 each |
| Georgia, Iowa | 2 each | 2 each |
| Louisiana, Montana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin | 1 each | 1 each |
| Total | 182 | 67 |

Each renamed store has a short FAQ. The Monroe, North Carolina store’s says Roadmaster Tire Pros “became part of Big Brand Tire & Service through an acquisition” and that “employees are not fired or replaced as part of the transition.” On warranties: “Yes. Your warranties transfer, and Big Brand Tire & Service has access to available service history and warranty records from Roadmaster Tire Pros.” In the store data, all 67 renamed stores answer the warranty question “Yes,” and none says which terms apply.

That matters because Big Brand’s written warranty covers tires “purchased at a Big Brand Tire & Service facility” and says “Your purchase invoice must be presented.” A receipt from before the sale shows the old name. Bring it, and ask the store to write on your paperwork whose terms it is honoring. The FAQs promise only “available” records, so your own copies are the safer proof.

## The written warranty: 6 months or 6,000 miles, and a pro-rata tire warranty

Big Brand’s warranty page opens: “Big Brand Tire & Service offers a limited 6 month or 6,000 mile warranty on all repairs.” The terms:

- **Repairs.** The “Parts & Labor warranty period” is “6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever occurs first).” No repair is singled out for longer cover. By our arithmetic, a car driven 1,000 miles a month reaches both limits on the same day; drive more and the mileage ends the cover first.
- **Tires.** Under “Manufacturer’s Standard Tire Warranty (Limited),” a tire that becomes “unsafe or unserviceable due to defects in workmanship or materials” is “replaced on a pro-rata basis charging for only the portion of tread warn off, down to the last 1/16 of an inch of tread.” Out-of-round tires are adjustable only “during the first 10% of the tire’s life.” “Road hazards are not covered by this warranty.”
- **Wheels and trailer tires.** Custom wheels are warranted “for the first year”; trailer tires that fail from a defect “within 2 years from date of purchase” are replaced pro rata.
- **Twelve exclusions,** including “Premature tread wear out,” “Repairable punctures,” “Vehicle Misalignment,” under-inflation, accidents, vandalism, and mounting damage “if not mounted at a Big Brand Tire & Service facility.”
- **Claims.** “ALL TIRES MUST BE RETURNED TO A BIG BRAND TIRE & SERVICE FACILITY AND ACCOMPANIED BY THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT.” A replacement not in stock “will be available usually within 10 days.” Cover “is provided to original consumer purchaser only,” and excludes costs such as “loss of time, road service charges.”

Pro rata means you pay for the tread you used: if a defect shows when the tire has worn halfway to the 1/16-inch floor, for example, you would pay for roughly half the replacement. The page does not say whether that share is of the price you paid or today’s price, so ask. Early wear is excluded here; that claim goes under the maker’s mileage warranty, which Big Brand’s alignment page warns does not cover “uneven tire wear” from misalignment. Our guide to [how tire makers prorate](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/tire-manufacturer-warranties/#proration) covers those booklets, and Big Brand’s own maker-warranty page links 96 brands’ warranty pages.

Who stands behind the tire warranty is unclear. It is headed “Manufacturer’s,” yet Big Brand prints it, applies it to tires bought at its stores and handles claims there, while noting that “Most tire brands also offer their own treadwear and workmanship warranties.” Treat it as the store’s promise and keep the maker’s booklet too.

**The “in lieu of” line.** The page says “These warranties are in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied.” Under [15 U.S.C. 2308](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/USCODE-2024-title15/html/USCODE-2024-title15-chap50-sec2308.htm), “No supplier may disclaim or modify (except as provided in subsection (b)) any implied warranty” if it “makes any written warranty,” and such a disclaimer “shall be ineffective.” Big Brand’s page partly concedes this (“Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts”). A repair that fails just after 6 months may be outside the written warranty but not outside your rights under state law.

**The same text on four other sites.** Burt Brothers, American Tire Depot, Robertson Tire and Tucker Tire print this warranty word for word with the name changed, and each sends tires back to its own brand: “ALL TIRES MUST BE RETURNED TO A ROBERTSON TIRE FACILITY,” for example. No page says a Burt Brothers receipt is honored at a Big Brand store or the other way round. Only the military discount is promised “at all Big Brand Tire & Service locations,” with no word on the other brands. Until someone tells you otherwise in writing, claim at a store with the same name as your receipt.

## No road hazard plan, and what stands in for one

Nails, potholes and road debris are what road hazard cover exists for, and Big Brand’s warranty leaves them out. The page’s description promises “details on coverage and road hazards,” but its only road hazard line is the exclusion, and the maker-warranty page adds that “Manufacturer warranties typically do not cover road hazards.” The tire model page we read showed prices and “+ Installation costs added in cart,” with no road hazard add-on. We did not open a cart.

One phrase hints at something more: a tire promotion on the home and coupons pages requires “purchase of tire maintenance certificates.” No page says what a certificate covers, costs or how long it lasts. Under [16 CFR 702.3](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CFR-2025-title16-vol1/xml/CFR-2025-title16-vol1-sec702-3.xml), a seller of products costing “more than $15.00” with a written warranty must make its text “readily available for examination by the prospective buyer,” so ask to see it.

**Ask what a “tire maintenance certificate” is before you buy one.** Big Brand’s warranty excludes road hazards and repairable punctures, and its website defines no certificate. Get the coverage, price per tire and end date in writing, and ask whether it is good at Burt Brothers, American Tire Depot, Robertson and Tucker stores as well.

**Figure: Annotated photograph**

Three numbered callouts over the photograph mark a tread face, a sidewall and the tread grooves, each with one fact from Big Brand Tire’s warranty and flat repair pages.

Big Brand Tire’s warranty and flat repair pages, read on 16 October 2026: Flats are repaired free even on tires bought elsewhere, if the hole is under 1/4 inch (callout 1); Its flat repair rules turn away any tire older than 6 years: check the date code (callout 2); The tire warranty is pro rata for defects to the last 1/16 inch; road hazards excluded (callout 3). The photograph is illustrative.

What Big Brand does print is free flat repair for any tire that can be safely fixed, which handles a nail in the tread but not a sidewall cut or a blowout. The table sets Big Brand’s printed terms beside those of Belle Tire, the chain it has agreed to buy, copied from our [Belle Tire page](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/belle-tire/). It compares documents, not prices, and ranks neither.

**Printed terms at Big Brand (read 16 October 2026) and Belle Tire (read 9 October 2026)**

| Term | Big Brand Tire & Service | Belle Tire |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Road hazard cover | None printed: “Road hazards are not covered by this warranty” | Optional Tire Protection Plan, ending at 3/32 inch of tread or 3 years, whichever comes first |
| Flat repair | Free, “Even if you did not purchase the tires from us,” within six rules | Free with “the tire installation package” |
| Repair warranty | 6 months or 6,000 miles, parts and labor | “Comprehensive warranty on parts and labor”; no length printed |
| The store’s own tire warranty | Pro rata for defects, to the last 1/16 inch | None; the FAQ points to the tire makers |
| Card: no-interest promotions | $199+ for 6 months; $1,199.99+ for 12 months | $199 to $999.99 for 6 months; $1,000+ for 12 months |
| Card: standing terms | New accounts as of 7/31/25: purchase APR 34.99%, penalty APR 39.99% | The same wording |
| Military discount | 5% in store; not combined with other offers | 5% in store; the same no-combining wording |
| Price promise | “we will not be undersold”; no price-match terms | “We will beat any competitor’s price,” with seven printed rules |

For how road hazard cover works where it is sold, see [Discount Tire’s Certificates](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/discount-tire-warranty/) and [Les Schwab’s included road hazard warranty](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/les-schwab-tires/#road-hazard).

## Free flat repair, rotation and checks, and the rules

“Flat Tire Repairs are always free. Even if you did not purchase the tires from us.” Staff first “remove the tire from the rim and inspect it inside and out,” and the repair must pass six “Tire Repair Requirements,” as printed:

- “The puncture must be in the tread area of the tire”
- “The puncture must be less that 1/4 inch in diameter”
- “There must be at least 2/32″ of tread surface remaining”
- “The tire must not be severely weather checked”
- “The overall condition of the tire must be good”
- “The tire must not be older than 6 years old”

Big Brand admits the age rule surprises people and bases it on NHTSA’s tire-aging work, writing that makers recommend “tires should be replaced within six to ten years, regardless of tread depth.” Read the [date code on your sidewall](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-long-do-tires-last/#date-code) before you go; our guide to [how old is too old](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-long-do-tires-last/#how-old-is-too-old) covers the advice. By our arithmetic, the 2/32-inch tread floor equals 1/16 inch, where the pro-rata tire warranty also stops. Run-flats are repaired only where the maker allows (see [run-flat repair](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/run-flat-tires/#repair)). If a tire fails the rules, Big Brand says it will “walk you through replacement options.”

**Rotation and checks.** “We rotate your tires at no cost,” with no condition that you bought them there, and oil change bookings include “a Free Tire Rotation and Free Vehicle Fluid Check.” Big Brand recommends rotation “every 6,000 to 8,000 miles” (see our [rotation intervals](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/tire-rotation-cost/#interval) page). Its Car Services page heads 15 services “FREE,” flat repair and rotation among them; the rest are checks of alignment, brakes, battery, pressure, TPMS sensors, cooling, engine, fluids, belts and hoses, shocks and struts, alternator and starter, lights, and a full inspection. Balancing, tire changeover, wipers and filters are not marked free. A check is a measurement, not a repair: the alignment page promises “Recommendations for adjustment if your alignment is out of spec” and prints no price. Get any quote in writing; our pages on [when an alignment is due](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/wheel-alignment-cost/#when-to-align) and [brake pad replacement](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/brake-pad-replacement-cost/) help you judge it.

**If you hold a service contract.** Big Brand calls itself an “Authorized Service Provider” for SilverRock, covering buyers from “Carvana®, DriveTime®, or another dealer,” and for the Shield Repair Network, covering “CarShield® or American Auto Shield®” contracts. What gets paid depends on your contract; see our [Carvana warranty](https://baronauto1.com/financing/carvana-warranty/), [DriveTime](https://baronauto1.com/financing/drivetime-review/) and [CarShield](https://baronauto1.com/financing/carshield/) pages.

## The credit card, the military discount and price promises

**The Big Brand Tire & Service credit card** is issued through Synchrony and is “Valid everywhere Synchrony Car Care™ is accepted in the U.S., including Puerto Rico.” Its standing offer is “No Interest if Paid in Full Within 6 or 12 Months On purchases of $199+ (6 months) or $1199.99+ (12 months).” That is deferred interest: if the balance is not cleared, “interest will be charged on the promo balance from the purchase date,” and minimum payments “may or may not pay off the promo balance.” The amount “must be on one receipt,” and gas station purchases do not qualify. The dated account terms: “New Accounts as of 7/31/25: Purchase APR 34.99%. Penalty APR 39.99%. Min Interest Charge $2.” There is “No annual fee.”

By our arithmetic, $199 needs $33.17 a month to clear in 6 months, and $1,199.99 needs $100.00 a month to clear in 12. Belle Tire’s card, read on 9 October 2026, prints the same APR terms but starts its 12-month offer at $1,000, so Big Brand’s threshold is $199.99 higher, by our arithmetic. A rebate on the credit page carries a deadline and is left out, and we did not use the prequalification button.

**The military discount.** “Active-duty service members, military retirees, and veterans receive 5% off purchases in store,” with a valid ID shown “each time you visit.” It “does not extend to spouses or family members,” is “applied in store only” and “cannot be combined with other sales, coupons, discounts, or promotions,” though Big Brand will apply “the one that saves you the most.” The home page offers it to “active duty, veterans, and reserves,” so reservists who are not veterans or retirees should ask first. Belle Tire’s discount page used the same wording.

**Price promises.** Big Brand prints no price-match policy. Its About page says “Value is our objective, we will not be undersold” and “Shop our competition and see for yourself,” with no rules on competitors, time limits or refunds. Bring a lower quote if you have one, but there are no terms to hold the store to. Tucker Tire’s home page advertises a “Lowest Price Guarantee” and “Nationwide warranties that actually mean something,” and its sitemap lists no page explaining either. Coupons and the e-mail Advantage Club are promotions and are not recorded here.

## Terms of Use, disputes and public records

Big Brand’s Terms of Use are undated, and it may “change, modify, add, or remove portions” at any time. California law governs, and “the California courts will have non-exclusive jurisdiction,” so a court elsewhere may still hear a case. We found no arbitration clause or class-action waiver in the Terms, the warranty, the privacy policy or the credit page. The Terms cap liability for the website at “THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU, IF ANY, FOR ACCESSING THIS SITE”; work on your car falls under the warranty and the law, not that cap. Big Brand also says it “does not guarantee the accuracy of the information at all times,” one more reason to rely on your invoice.

The privacy policy, also undated, says Big Brand “will not trade, sell, or share” personal information without consent, except with “its franchisee dealers, or third-party business partners.” No other page mentions franchised stores. Big Brand “does not ship products”; online orders are collected and fitted in store.

Searches on 16 October 2026 found no state attorney-general or Federal Trade Commission action naming Big Brand Tire & Service. CourtListener’s robots.txt closes its dockets to AI agents, so we did not search court records there, and California’s repair-dealer registrations sit behind a search form we did not use.

## Where Big Brand’s own pages disagree

We recorded 14 places where Big Brand’s pages contradict each other or leave a promise unfinished. The ones a buyer should know:

- **Store counts.** 530+, 182 in 17 states, and 174 in 15 states, plus a careers page still set in “Central and Southern California.” Burt Brothers prints “29+” and lists 30.
- **Road hazards.** A warranty page that promises “details on coverage and road hazards” and only excludes them, and “tire maintenance certificates” that no page defines.
- **Whose tire warranty.** A “Manufacturer’s Standard Tire Warranty” that Big Brand prints and handles, beside a note that makers offer their own.
- **Disclaimers.** “In lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied,” next to an admission that some states do not allow it.
- **Old warranties.** 67 FAQs that say warranties “transfer,” and a warranty for tires “purchased at a Big Brand Tire & Service facility” against the original invoice.
- **Names.** The Big Brand Tire & Service Corporation, Majco LLC and, in a lender’s filing, Percheron Horsepower-A LP, plus “franchisee dealers” no other page mentions.
- **The military discount.** “Reserves” on the home page, “military retirees” on the discount page.
- **Silent sister brands.** Four chains on Big Brand’s pages and copyright that never name their owner and send claims to their own stores; Tucker Tire’s “Lowest Price Guarantee” is never explained.

In a dispute, your paperwork counts for more than the website, so get the warranty terms, the company’s name and any certificate terms on the invoice.

## Before you buy tires or a repair at Big Brand

Register your tires so the maker can reach you about a recall. Under [49 CFR 574.8](https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CFR-2025-title49-vol7/xml/CFR-2025-title49-vol7-sec574-8.xml), a dealer must either give you “a paper tire registration form” with “The entire tire identification number” filled in, or send it to the maker “at no charge to the tire purchaser and within 30 days.” No Big Brand page says which it does, so ask. NHTSA says makers notify registered owners “within 60 days of notifying NHTSA of a recall decision”; its [recall lookup](https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls) covers tires, and our page on [tire recalls](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-long-do-tires-last/#recalls) explains more. Other regional chains are read the same way on our [Tire Discounters](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/tire-discounters/) and [Mavis](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/mavis-tires/) pages.

- **Match the name on the sign to the name on the invoice.** Each of the five brands sends warranty claims to its own stores.
- **Keep the original receipt.** Tire claims need the tire and the receipt, and cover is for the original buyer only.
- **Note the date and mileage of any repair.** Cover ends at 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- **Do not count on road hazard cover.** Get any “tire maintenance certificate” terms and price in writing before paying.
- **Check the date code before a flat repair.** Tires older than 6 years are not repaired.
- **If your store was renamed,** bring the old receipt and have the staff write down which terms they will honor.
- **Belle Tire customers:** keep your plan paperwork until the new owner says in writing how it will be handled.
- **On promotional card financing,** divide the balance by the months and clear it in time.

## Common questions

### Who owns Big Brand Tire & Service?

Majco LLC runs the stores as Big Brand Tire & Service. Percheron Capital has backed it since 2021, and in October 2025 announced a $1.625 billion recapitalization through a single-asset continuation vehicle co-led by funds managed by Blue Owl Capital, ICONIQ and Warburg Pincus. A Blue Owl filing for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 lists an interest in “Percheron Horsepower-A LP (dba Big Brand Tire & Service).”

### Did Big Brand buy Belle Tire?

It agreed to on 16 July 2026, with closing expected in the third quarter of 2026. On 16 October 2026 we found no notice from Big Brand or Percheron that the deal had closed, and Big Brand’s directory listed no store in Belle Tire’s states.

### What is Big Brand Tire’s warranty?

Repairs carry a limited parts and labor warranty of 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Tires bought there get a pro-rata warranty against defects down to the last 1/16 inch of tread; custom wheels are covered for one year and trailer tires for 2 years. You need the original receipt, and the warranty is for the original buyer only.

### Does Big Brand Tire have a road hazard warranty?

Not on any page we read. Its warranty says “Road hazards are not covered by this warranty,” and no road hazard plan is printed. A promotion mentions “tire maintenance certificates,” which no page defines, so ask in store.

### Does Big Brand fix flats for free?

Yes, “Even if you did not purchase the tires from us.” The puncture must be in the tread and under 1/4 inch, with at least 2/32 inch of tread left, and the tire must be in good condition and no more than 6 years old.

### What brands does Big Brand Tire own?

It renames most chains it buys: 67 of its 182 stores carry a “Formerly” notice under 50 former names. Burt Brothers Tire & Service, which Percheron says Big Brand bought in October 2025, keeps its name, and American Tire Depot, Robertson Tire and Tucker Tire run on the same website templates under the same Majco LLC copyright. Belle Tire is pending.
