# Jiffy Lube Oil Change: Price, What’s Included and the Warranty

> Jiffy Lube prints no national oil-change price. What the Signature Service includes, its 3-month or 3,000-mile warranty, free top-offs, and who owns it now.

## The short version

- Jiffy Lube prints no national price for an oil change. It says the cost depends on the oil, how much your engine takes and “the difficulty of performing the oil change,” and sends you to the local store or to an estimate for one store and one vehicle.
- The Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change includes up to five quarts of oil, a new filter and a list of checks and top-ups. Jiffy Lube says more oil can mean “additional charges.” Tire rotation is not included.
- “15 minutes or less” runs from hood up to hood down; Jiffy Lube’s footnote says it “does not include wait time or additional services.”
- Free top-offs of oil and four other fluids, up to 2 quarts per fluid, run for 3,000 miles after the oil change. The oil change itself is warranted for 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, with the details on the back of the invoice.
- Shell no longer owns Jiffy Lube. It sold Jiffy Lube International to an affiliate of Monomoy Capital Partners for $1.3 billion, a sale Shell says it completed on June 30, 2026. Most stores are franchises.
- An oil change at Jiffy Lube rather than a dealer does not by itself void a factory warranty, the FTC says. Keep every invoice.

A Jiffy Lube oil change means the Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change: up to five quarts of oil, a new filter and a set of checks, sold at more than 2,000 mostly franchised stores. Its price is the one thing Jiffy Lube does not print. On 9 October 2026 we read Jiffy Lube’s own pages once each, by hand, because its Terms of Use bar automated access: the oil change, oil-type, estimate, top-off and warranty pages, three resource articles, the coupon, credit card, gift card and fleet pages, its privacy notices and two 2026 releases about its sale. We also read Shell plc’s SEC filings on that sale, three public records, the FTC’s warranty guidance and EPA’s used-oil page. The Terms allow links to the Jiffy Lube [homepage](https://www.jiffylube.com/) only, so other pages are named, not linked, and its robots.txt bars AI readers from the paths that serve its FAQ answers, coupons and estimates, so none of that is used. This site has no commercial relationship with Jiffy Lube, Shell, Monomoy or any oil brand.

**Figure: What Jiffy Lube’s own pages say, by situation**

Nine situations a driver meets at a Jiffy Lube, each read against Jiffy Lube’s service, estimate, top-off and warranty pages and Shell’s SEC filings. One row is our arithmetic.

Read from jiffylube.com and Shell plc’s Form 6-K on 9 October 2026. ’Our arithmetic’ marks this site’s calculation.

## What a Jiffy Lube oil change costs, and why no price is printed

Jiffy Lube’s Oil Change page asks “How Much Should an Oil Change Cost?” and answers with three factors: “the type of oil used, the amount of oil required, and the difficulty of performing the oil change.” Then: “Contact your local Jiffy Lube for pricing based on your vehicle and the type of oil that’s right for you.” Its estimate page adds “where you live, as rates can differ by location.” We found no Jiffy Lube page with a national price, a starting price or a range for an oil change.

Prices exist store by store. Before it shows what it calls “‘starting from’ prices,” the oil-types page asks you to “Confirm your preferred store” and “Confirm your vehicle information.” An online estimate needs “your email address and your vehicle information (year/make/model/engine or VIN),” gives “a ballpark price,” and Jiffy Lube warns “your final price may vary slightly once we see your vehicle.” We built no estimate: it asks for personal details and a VIN, and the prices come from a path the robots.txt closes to AI readers. A store’s quote is that store’s price, not a national one.

Two lines of fine print can raise the bill. “There might be additional charges due to amount of oil required,” and if the oil chosen online does not suit your car, “you may need to change the selection at the time of visit, which could increase the amount estimated.” The Signature Service includes “up to five quarts,” while Jiffy Lube’s own cost article says engines take “from four quarts to 10 quarts or more.” No price per extra quart is printed; your owner’s manual tells you whether you are over five. The site also showed a dollar-off coupon marked “Available Nationwide” and “Valid at participating stores”; it is a promotion, so we quote no amount (coupons are covered [below](#paying)).

**Get the total for your car before the hood goes up.** There is no national price and most stores are independently owned. Ask for the price with your oil type, the quarts your engine takes, the filter, any coupon and tax, and ask whether that store honors your coupon.

## What the Signature Service Oil Change includes

Jiffy Lube sells the Signature Service as a way “to check, change, inspect, and fill essential systems and components of your vehicle,” with “conventional, high mileage, synthetic blend, or full synthetic oil.” Two of its pages print the checklist, and they almost match:

**The Signature Service Oil Change checklist as two Jiffy Lube pages print it (read 9 October 2026)**

| Group | Oil Change service page | “How Long Does an Oil Change Take?” guide |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Change | “Oil with up to five quarts of quality motor oil (your vehicle may require additional quarts of oil)”; oil filter | Oil “with the type, weight, and volume recommended by the manufacturer”; oil filter |
| Inspect | Antifreeze/coolant reservoir levels, engine air filtration system, brake fluid level (in transparent reservoirs), wiper blades, exterior lights, chassis (“lubricate when applicable”) | The same six, plus belts; chassis “lubricate where available” |
| Check and fill | Tire pressures, transmission/transaxle fluid, differential/transfer case fluid, power steering fluid, windshield washer fluid, battery water (excluding sealed batteries) | The same six |
| Clean | Exterior windshield | Exterior windshield |
| Afterwards | Not listed | A reminder sticker on the windshield, or the oil-life monitor reset |
| Items listed (our count) | 15 | 16 |

The service page’s prose adds “serpentine belts” to the inspection and makes the promise that matters at the counter: “If any of these components need to be serviced, we’ll ask for your permission before proceeding with any repairs or maintenance.” The inspection is a look; anything replaced is a separate sale you can decline.

Tire rotation is not in the package: “A tire rotation is not part of the Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change, but you can ask to include it along with your oil change.” Jiffy Lube says most tire makers recommend rotations “between 5,000 and 8,000 miles”; your car’s schedule may differ, as our page on [rotation intervals](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/tire-rotation-cost/#interval) explains. Every service page also warns: “Not all services are offered at all Jiffy Lube service centers.”

### What “15 minutes or less” measures

Service time, not visit time. Jiffy Lube’s guide says the clock runs “from the time we start your service, and the hood of your vehicle goes up, to when we’ve completed the service, and the hood goes down!” The footnote on every page adds: “Time is based on national averages from independent store audits of oil changes services only, does not include wait time or additional services.” Add-ons “could add additional time,” and “wait times can vary depending on the time of your visit and location of your service.” Jiffy Lube says its bays “have see-through windows so you can see the work as it’s being done on your vehicle.”

## Choosing the oil: Pennzoil, four types and your owner’s manual

“Jiffy Lube proudly pours Pennzoil,” the Oil Change page says; the service guide is more careful, promising “Pennzoil products, where available, that meet or exceed manufacturer recommendations.” The link survived the sale: Shell’s second-quarter report says “we retain a long-term lubricants supply agreement with Monomoy.” The brand matters less than the specification, and Jiffy Lube says so: “it’s okay to use a different brand than you’ve used in the past, as long as the oil meets the viscosity grade and specifications listed in your owner manual.”

The oil-types page lists full synthetic, synthetic blend, high mileage and conventional. “Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil,” Jiffy Lube says, and synthetic blend’s “price and protection levels are in between conventional and full synthetic oil.” High-mileage oils “are generally recommended for use on any ride with over 75,000 miles on the odometer,” but Jiffy Lube also tells you to “Check a Jiffy Lube service center near you to see what type of high mileage oil options are available,” so stores differ.

One line on its synthetic pages outweighs any coupon. If your engine calls for synthetic, “You may risk engine damage if you don’t use synthetic oil, and you may void your new-vehicle warranty.” Jiffy Lube says it “accesses the same manufacturer’s recommendations for maintenance, service and inspections as your dealer,” but the deciding document is your owner’s manual. Arrive knowing its grade and specification, and check that the invoice records what went in.

On timing, Jiffy Lube calls the old “every three months or 3,000 miles” advice a “one-size-fits-all rule” made “outdated” by modern vehicles and improved oils, and tells readers to “Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual.” The windshield sticker is a reminder, not a schedule. Our guide to [how often to change oil](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-often-to-change-oil/) explains what sets the interval, including [severe-service driving](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-often-to-change-oil/#severe).

## Free top-offs between oil changes, and where they stop

The Fluid Top Off page makes an offer that outlasts the visit: “With every Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change, we provide complimentary fluid top off service on vital fluids including motor oil (the same type of oil purchased originally), transmission, power steering, differential/transfer case and washer fluid. Just stop by within 3,000 miles of your service mileage and we will top off up to 2 quarts per fluid, as needed.”

The offer follows a Signature Service Oil Change, the limit is in miles from the service mileage on your invoice, and no time limit is printed. The page says both “Just pull into any Jiffy Lube service center” and “Not all services are offered at each Jiffy Lube location,” so call ahead when you are away from your usual store.

The 3,000-mile limit matches the oil-change warranty below, and it is shorter than many intervals. Jiffy Lube’s conventional-oil page uses “a set mileage interval, like 5,000 miles” as its example of a manufacturer’s schedule. On that interval, by our arithmetic, the free top-off and the warranty both end 2,000 miles before the next oil change is due. A car that keeps needing top-ups is telling you something; our guide to [finding a leak with a sheet of cardboard](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/car-fluid-leaks/#cardboard) shows how to read the drips.

## Jiffy Lube’s own warranty: 3 months or 3,000 miles on the oil change

Jiffy Lube puts a warranty on its oil changes in writing, though not in full online. Its Nationwide Limited Warranty page says: “Jiffy Lube Signature Certified Quality Service for oil changes and fluid preventive maintenance services are warranted for 3 months or 3,000 miles of use, whichever comes first. See back of invoice for details.” Coverage ends 3 months after the service, or at 3,000 miles of use if you reach that first. What it covers, what it excludes and how to claim are on the invoice, which we could not read in advance. Ask to see the back before you pay, and keep the copy.

Repairs carry a separate, longer warranty. The Nationwide Limited Warranty Program “provides participating Jiffy Lube Brakes & Services customers with a written, limited nationwide parts and labor warranty,” with a minimum of “12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurs first,” counted from “the date and odometer reading recorded on the original invoice.” “Not all Jiffy Lube Service Centers offer brakes and tire services.”

**Warranty terms on Jiffy Lube’s Nationwide Limited Warranty page (read 9 October 2026)**

| Work | Term as printed |
| --- | --- |
| Oil changes and fluid preventive maintenance | 3 months or 3,000 miles of use, whichever comes first; details on the back of the invoice |
| Engine performance and drivability; emission control systems; on-board computers | 12 months/12,000 miles |
| Brake systems, excluding overhaul | Parts 24 months/24,000 miles; labor 12 months/12,000 miles |
| Brake overhaul (calipers or wheel cylinders) | Pads and shoes lifetime; labor 12 months/12,000 miles |
| Shocks and struts | Parts lifetime; labor 12 months/12,000 miles |
| Alignment (“Does not include parts”) | 12 months/12,000 miles |
| CV joints, half-shafts and drive shafts; heating and air conditioning | 12 months/12,000 miles |
| Commercial vehicles | Alignment 3 months or 3,000 miles; other covered work 12 months or 12,000 miles; whichever comes first in each case |

Read the repair warranty’s rules twice. “The Jiffy Lube Brakes & Services location performing the repairs is the issuer of the warranty,” so the store that did the work, usually a franchisee, stands behind it. It is “extended only to the original purchaser” and “is not transferable”; it assumes “normal, non-commercial use”; you “must keep a copy of your original repair invoice”; within 25 miles you must return to the original store, and beyond 25 miles “the Warranty Administrator must be contacted prior to any warranty repair work being performed” (Jiffy Lube prints 1-866-330-9183). “Incidental or consequential damages are excluded, except where prohibited by law.” The page mentions “a network of 35,000 participating facilities” without saying who they are.

**Read the invoice, front and back.** The oil-change warranty lives there, and in 2022 a Maryland county consumer office said receipts from at least two franchised Jiffy Lube stores carried a clause sending disputes to a mediation and arbitration service that, it said, was owned and operated by the merchant’s attorney (details [below](#record)). Look for any dispute or arbitration clause before you pay.

**Figure: Annotated photograph**

Three numbered callouts over mechanics at an open engine bay mark the oil bottle, a fluid cap and the mechanic at work, with Jiffy Lube's 5-quart limit, its free top-offs, and its warranty on the oil change itself.

Jiffy Lube’s oil change pages, read on 9 October 2026, include up to five quarts and say extra oil can mean additional charges (callout 1), offer free top-offs within 3,000 miles, up to 2 quarts per fluid (callout 2), and warrant the oil change for 3 months or 3,000 miles (callout 3). The photograph is illustrative.

## Will a Jiffy Lube oil change affect your car’s warranty?

Not by itself. The FTC’s [guidance on auto warranties](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/auto-warranties-and-auto-service-contracts) says: “You don’t have to use the dealer for repairs or maintenance to keep your warranty in effect. In fact, it’s illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage because you had routine maintenance or repairs done by someone else.” Behind that sit 15 U.S.C. 2302(c), under which “No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty” on a branded service unless it is free, and 16 CFR 700.10(c): “No warrantor may condition the continued validity of a warranty on the use of only authorized repair service and/or authorized replacement parts for non-warranty service and maintenance.” The FTC notes the exception: “if the warranty says that the work will be done for free, the dealer or manufacturer can make you use repair facilities it chooses.”

Where an outside oil change can still cost you is proof and specification. The FTC warns that “The warranty company could ask for your maintenance records” and that without them “your claim might be denied”; a service contract “might require you to follow all the manufacturer’s recommendations for routine maintenance, like oil changes.” Our page on [how an extended-warranty claim works](https://baronauto1.com/financing/is-an-extended-warranty-worth-it/#how-a-claim-works) shows what an administrator asks for. Jiffy Lube’s recommendations page says following the manufacturer’s recommendations “protects your new-vehicle warranty”; read that as its claim about its process. What protects a warranty is the maintenance the manual requires, with oil that meets its specification, and invoices that prove it. Jiffy Lube keeps “a nationwide database that keeps your service records on file,” but that database is the company’s; keep your own copies, and see [what a buyer looks for in service records](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-often-to-change-oil/#records).

## Coupons, the Jiffy Lube credit card, gift cards and fleet discounts

**Coupons.** “Jiffy Lube service centers provide both local and nationwide coupons, most commonly for oil changes and other routine vehicle maintenance,” the coupon page says, in three steps: “Use your zip code to see all local coupons,” “Set your preferred store for easy access to your favorite coupons,” and “Present the digital coupon in store during your visit.” On savings it says only “Savings vary by offer.” Coupons are promotions, local ones vary by store, and the coupon list is closed to automated readers by robots.txt, so we record no amounts. Show the coupon before the work starts.

**No standing national discount.** We found no military, senior or student discount on Jiffy Lube’s national pages. One franchise group’s page on jiffylube.com advertises its own discounts for healthcare workers, first responders and school staff in Tupelo, Mississippi, which shows such programs are set locally. Ask your store.

**The Jiffy Lube Credit Card.** Jiffy Lube’s service centers “offer customers six months special financing” on “purchases of $199 or more through the Jiffy Lube Credit Card.” The fine print: “Subject to credit approval. Minimum monthly payments required. See store for details. We reserve the right to discontinue or alter the terms of this offer any time.” And “select Jiffy Lube service centers may not be enrolled in this program.” The apply link leads to a Synchrony application site, which we did not open; the page prints no interest rate. Read the card’s own terms for what happens to interest if the balance is not paid within the six months; Jiffy Lube’s page does not say.

**Gift cards and fleets.** The gift card “Never expires and is not subject to fees,” comes in amounts “between $10-$300” and works only “at participating Jiffy Lube service centers in the U.S.” For businesses, “Shell Card Business holders receive an additional 15-20% off fleet maintenance at participating locations,” and national billing is for “large fleets with over 50 vehicles.” The fleet page still promotes the Shell card after the sale, so confirm the discount with the store.

## Who owns Jiffy Lube now, and who runs your store

Until mid-2026, Shell. The subsidiary list filed with Shell plc’s 2025 Form 20-F shows Jiffy Lube International, Inc. and Premium Velocity Auto LLC each at a Shell percentage of 100 at December 31, 2025. A Shell release of March 9, 2026, posted on jiffylube.com, said Shell’s U.S. lubricants arm “has entered an agreement to sell Jiffy Lube International (JLI) and its subsidiary Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) LLC business to an affiliate of Monomoy Capital Partners (Monomoy) for $1.3 billion.” Shell’s second-quarter report, filed on Form 6-K, says: “On June 30, 2026, we completed the previously announced sale of Jiffy Lube International to an affiliate of Monomoy Capital Partners (Monomoy) for $1.3 billion.” Monomoy’s release, dated July 1, 2026, “announced today it has completed its acquisition” and describes the buyer as “a private investment firm.” We found no SEC filing that reports on Jiffy Lube after the sale.

Your store is most likely a franchise. Every page carries the line “Most Jiffy Lube locations, with the exception of those owned and operated by one of our subsidiaries, are owned and operated by independent franchisees.” That subsidiary is PVA, “the second-largest Jiffy Lube franchisee, with over 360 locations across 20 states,” sold to Monomoy with the brand. Store pages name the operating company under the words “Part of,” so you can see who runs yours.

That matters more than the sign. Jiffy Lube says rates differ by location, coupons are partly local, some stores do not take its credit card or offer every service, and the store that did a repair issues its warranty. Jiffy Lube’s Privacy Policy (last updated May 2026) says franchisees “may independently access and use customer information for service center operations and local marketing.” If something goes wrong, Jiffy Lube’s feedback form asks for the store number so “we can get in contact with the local franchisee,” and the invoice number, found “in the top right corner of your invoice.” Customer service is (800) 344-6933.

## What regulators have said about Jiffy Lube

We read three public records involving Jiffy Lube. None is about the price of an oil change; each says something about how stores are run. A search of the FTC’s site found no FTC action against Jiffy Lube, and we mention no private lawsuit because we read no court filing in one.

**California, 2008: oil and antifreeze storage.** On May 7, 2008, California’s Attorney General and eleven counties announced “the statewide agreement with Jiffy Lube International, resolving allegations that some of its oil change centers did not follow precautions to protect the environment from oil and antifreeze spills.” The [release](https://oag.ca.gov/news/press-releases/brown-announces-jiffy-lube-effort-protect-environment-spills) says local compliance officers found that “employees were not properly inspecting containers.” Under the agreement Jiffy Lube was to train all employees, have a third-party consultant audit compliance, stop collecting used motor oil at any Jiffy Lube-operated facility without a suitable container, and “revoke any franchise agreement if there are three uncorrected violations of environmental regulations.” The agreement covered “more than 300 Jiffy Lube locations across California,” and the company “agreed to pay $500,000 as civil penalties, costs and attorneys’ fees.” We did not read the attached judgment.

**Washington, 2018: hiring between franchisees.** An Assurance of Discontinuance published by the Washington Attorney General’s office says that “In January 2018, the Attorney General initiated an investigation into Jiffy Lube International, Inc.” over franchise terms that barred franchisees from hiring workers from other franchisees or from company-owned stores, and that “JLI has 108 stores in Washington, all of which stores are owned and operated by franchisees.” The Attorney General “asserts” this broke the state’s Consumer Protection Act; “JLI expressly denies” it, and says it had “voluntarily removed the ‘no-poach’ provisions from its franchise agreements before being informed of any investigation.” JLI agreed it “will no longer include no-poach provisions in any of its future franchise agreements.” The published copy leaves the court-approval date blank.

**Montgomery County, Maryland, 2022: arbitration on receipts.** On March 8, 2022 the county’s Office of Consumer Protection said it was “alerting consumers about potentially deceptive and misleading information in the receipts that some Jiffy Lube locations provide.” Its investigation “has shown that at least two Jiffy Lube locations in Montgomery County provide a sales receipt and written satisfaction guaranty that includes a clause requiring consumers to submit any controversy or claim to mediation and arbitration,” and that the clause “fails to disclose that the mediation and arbitration service is actually owned and operated by the merchant’s attorney.” The office learned of the clause while investigating “complaints from two consumers alleging that their vehicles were damaged as a result of improper oil changes,” and noted that “The Jiffy Lube locations in the County are individually owned franchisees.” This was a consumer alert, not a court ruling; the [release](https://www2.montgomerycountymd.gov/mcgportalapps/Press_Detail.aspx?Item_ID=40160) does not report an outcome.

## Where Jiffy Lube’s own pages disagree, and what they leave out

- **Its age.** About: “more than 35 years ago.” History: “For almost 50 years” and a first drive-through bay in 1979. The Monomoy release: “Founded over 45 years ago” and “nearly 50 years.” Four wordings; by our arithmetic 1979 was 47 years ago.
- **Its customers.** About says “more than 20 million customers every year”; History, “more than 19 million”; Monomoy, “approximately 19 million.”
- **Its stores.** About calls them “more than 2,000 franchisee owned service centers,” while the footer excepts those of “one of our subsidiaries,” which Shell put at over 360.
- **Its name.** The Terms, Privacy Policy and footer name Jiffy Lube, LLC; the Monomoy release names Jiffy Lube International, Inc.; the PVA privacy notice, still online, gives the parent as “ultimately, Shell plc,” more than three months after Shell says the sale closed. Shell’s 20-F calls the business “Jiffy Lubricants International.”
- **Small print that pulls both ways.** The top-off works at “any Jiffy Lube service center,” yet “Not all services are offered at each Jiffy Lube location.” Centers “also collect used motor oil brought in by people who change their oil themselves,” yet “Not all Jiffy Lube service centers offer Oil Recycling.” A coupon is “Available Nationwide” and “Valid at participating stores.”
- **Left out.** A national price; the oil-change warranty’s terms; who the “35,000 participating facilities” are; what the “Jiffy Lube Pledge” on the technicians page promises; and the FAQ page’s answers, which load from a path its robots.txt closes to AI readers.

## Before and after a Jiffy Lube oil change

- **Look up your oil capacity and specification.** Your owner’s manual gives both; Jiffy Lube includes up to five quarts and says the wrong oil in an engine that needs synthetic “may void your new-vehicle warranty.”
- **See who runs the store.** The store page names the company under “Part of.” Price, coupons, the credit card and the repair warranty sit with that store.
- **Get the total before work starts.** Oil type, quarts, filter, coupon, tax.
- **Ask to see the back of the invoice.** The oil-change warranty is printed there. Look for any dispute or arbitration clause.
- **Decide on extras with the manual open.** Jiffy Lube says it asks permission before any repair or maintenance; what the manual does not call for yet can wait. Ask for a tire rotation if you want one.
- **Check the invoice before you leave.** Oil type and grade, quarts, mileage, store number and invoice number: your proof of maintenance and your warranty claim.
- **Note the mileage limits.** Free top-offs end 3,000 miles after the service; the oil-change warranty ends at 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. Look under the car the next morning for fresh drips.

If you change your own oil, Jiffy Lube says some locations are “designated oil recycling collection centers,” but not all, so call ahead. EPA’s [used-oil page](https://www.epa.gov/recycle/managing-reusing-and-recycling-used-oil) (last updated June 25, 2026) warns that “used oil from one oil change can contaminate one million gallons of fresh water” and says to check with local maintenance shops, waste collectors and officials for drop-off points, filters included.

We have read other chains’ own published terms the same way: [Take 5](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/take-5-oil-change/), [Valvoline](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/valvoline-oil-change/), [Walmart](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/walmart-oil-change/), [Firestone Complete Auto Care](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/firestone-complete-auto-care/), [Pep Boys](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/pep-boys/) and [Midas](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/midas/). Each page reports one company’s documents; none ranks one against another.

## Common questions

### How much is an oil change at Jiffy Lube?

Jiffy Lube publishes no national price. It says the cost depends on the oil, how much your engine takes, how hard the job is and “where you live, as rates can differ by location.” Prices come from your store or an online estimate for one store and one vehicle, which Jiffy Lube calls “a ballpark price.” Ask for the total for your car before work starts.

### What is included in a Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change?

Up to five quarts of oil and a new filter; a look at coolant, engine air filter, brake fluid, wipers, lights, chassis and belts; a check and fill of tire pressure, transmission, differential or transfer case, power steering and washer fluid and battery water; and a cleaned windshield. ### Does Jiffy Lube guarantee its oil changes?

Yes, in writing but not in full online. Oil changes and fluid services “are warranted for 3 months or 3,000 miles of use, whichever comes first,” with the details on the back of the invoice. Repairs at participating Brakes & Services stores carry a separate warranty with a 12 month or 12,000 mile minimum, issued by the store that did the work.

### How long does a Jiffy Lube oil change take?

Jiffy Lube says 15 minutes or less, from hood up to hood down. Its footnote says the figure “does not include wait time or additional services.”

### Does Jiffy Lube have coupons or a military discount?

Jiffy Lube says its stores offer “both local and nationwide coupons” and that “Savings vary by offer.” We found no national military, senior or student discount; some franchise groups run local programs, so ask. A Jiffy Lube credit card offers six months of special financing on purchases of $199 or more, subject to credit approval, at stores that accept it.

### Is Jiffy Lube still owned by Shell?

No. Shell agreed on March 9, 2026 to sell Jiffy Lube International to an affiliate of Monomoy Capital Partners for $1.3 billion and says it completed the sale on June 30, 2026. Shell keeps a long-term lubricants supply agreement with Monomoy, and most stores remain franchises.
