## The short version

- Quick Quack is an exterior-only express tunnel wash. Its Locations page listed 395 sites in 9 states on 16 October 2026, 16 of them marked “COMING SOON.” It sells three packages (Ceramic Duck, Lucky Duck and Good) as single washes or monthly unlimited memberships.
- The FAQ says you can cancel “at any time” in the app. The Terms of Service ask for notice “at least ten (10) days prior to the renewal date” by email or phone, allow a $5.00 fee if you cancel within 45 days of joining, and call every payment non-refundable.
- A membership is “per vehicle” and stays with the car named when you bought it. One “Flock” plan per household covers up to 5 active vehicles, on Autopay only. The terms exclude cars used “for hire, compensation or profit,” which reads on rideshare and delivery driving.
- No Quick Quack page we could read sets out a damage-claim process. The terms provide the service “AS IS,” put the risk on you and cap Quick Quack’s liability at three times your most recent payment or $100, whichever is greater.
- Disputes go to private arbitration with a class-action waiver. You can opt out only by mailing a letter within 30 days of your first wash or sign-up.
- Ownership: KKR made “a significant minority investment” on June 11, 2024. The founders and Seidler Equity Partners kept “meaningful stakes,” and no document we read names a majority owner.

Quick Quack runs drive-through tunnel washes: a conveyor pulls the car past soft cloth strips, foams and dryers, and you are out in a few minutes. Most of what it sells is a monthly unlimited membership, so the questions that matter are what each package includes, how billing and cancelling work, and what happens if the tunnel damages your car. On 16 October 2026 we read Quick Quack’s Terms of Service Agreement, its Website Terms of Use, its FAQ, plan, membership, About, Locations and contact pages, two store pages, three September 2026 blog posts and its license plate reader notices, plus KKR’s 2024 release, Seidler Equity Partners’ pages and a lender’s SEC filing. Quick Quack’s terms allow a link to its [homepage](https://www.quickquack.com/) and no deeper, so we name its other documents without linking them. As with our pages on [Take 5](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/take-5-oil-change/) and [Jiffy Lube](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/jiffy-lube-oil-change/), this site has no commercial relationship with the company or its investors.

## Who owns Quick Quack Car Wash

The company you contract with is Quick Quack Car Wash Holdings, LLC, “a Delaware limited liability company,” according to the Terms of Service. Its About page says Quick Quack was “Developed in 2004” and is “headquartered in Rocklin, California.” It grew “from a local car wash in Sacramento, CA” and, in 2008, bought “a small chain of car washes in northwest Texas,” taking the Quick Quack name “across all 13 locations.” It now calls itself “the fourth largest car wash in the nation,” a claim it does not source.

Ownership has three layers, and none of the documents we read gives percentages:

- **The founders and Seidler.** Seidler Equity Partners tags its Quick Quack founder story “Minority partnership.” In it, co-founder and chief executive Jason Johnson says Seidler “structured an investment that helped us achieve three critical objectives: maintain our control of the business, provide liquidity to early investors, and provide growth capital.” [Read the founder story](https://sepfunds.com/founder-story/quick-quack-car-wash/); Seidler notes that founders “hold securities in partner companies.”
- **KKR, since June 2024.** KKR’s [release of June 11, 2024](https://media.kkr.com/rss-feed/news-release?news_id=eb966bf9-7758-4c39-91c8-f6ca38cb7dc3) says “investment funds managed by KKR have made a significant minority investment in the Company,” and that “Quick Quack’s founders and its longtime equity partner, Seidler Equity Partners (‘Seidler’), will continue to hold meaningful stakes.” It prints no price; news reports of one cite unnamed sources, so we leave it out.
- **Lenders.** Golub Capital BDC, a Nasdaq-listed lender, filed a [10-Q covering the three months to June 30, 2026](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1476765/000147676526000048/gbdc-20260630.htm) on August 3, 2026. It lists “one stop” loans to Quick Quack Car Wash Holdings, LLC maturing in June 2031, and two small equity interests acquired in June 2024, the month of the KKR deal.

So the idea that a private-equity firm owns Quick Quack is narrower in the primary documents: two investment firms hold minority stakes, the founders hold stakes, and lenders hold debt. We found no SEC filing by Quick Quack itself: an EDGAR full-text search on 16 October 2026 returned 359 filings mentioning it, and the 100 we checked were all filed by lenders and funds. For a member, the clause that matters is section 9.7: Quick Quack “may assign this Agreement, in whole or in part, to any person or entity at any time with or without your consent.”

## How many locations, and where

Quick Quack’s About and Locations pages say “more than 365” locations. The full list on the Locations page carried 395 entries on 16 October 2026, of which 16 were marked “COMING SOON,” leaving 379, by our arithmetic. KKR counted “over 230 locations” in five states in June 2024; Seidler’s undated company page still says “nearly 200.” The membership page says “Join more than 1 million members,” which we could not check.

**Quick Quack locations by state (Locations page, read 16 October 2026)**

| State | Entries listed | Of which marked “COMING SOON” |
| --- | --- | --- |
| California | 149 | 7 |
| Texas | 115 | 3 |
| Utah | 70 | 0 |
| Arizona | 21 | 0 |
| Oklahoma | 13 | 3 |
| Colorado | 12 | 1 |
| Washington | 9 | 1 |
| Nevada | 5 | 1 |
| Hawaii | 1 | 0 |
| **Total** | **395** | **16** |

The New & Coming page listed 30 sites “opening soon” the same day while the Locations list flagged 16, so confirm a store’s status on its own page. Thirteen entries say “Cashless Location: Card and tap only.” Hours are per store: the FAQ says “most location open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” but we counted 346 of the 395 entries showing 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 20 showing 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Terms of Service warn that “The types of car wash Services may vary at each Quick Quack location.”

## The three wash packages: what each includes and costs

The FAQ says you can buy an unlimited membership “for any of our three wash packages.” On the plans page the cards are headed Ceramic Duck (badged “LONGEST PROTECTION”), Lucky Duck and Good; a September 2026 blog post calls the third “Good Duck.” Each card lists the same eleven treatments and ticks the ones it includes: 11 for Ceramic Duck, 10 for Lucky Duck and 3 for Good, by our count.

**What each Quick Quack package includes, as ticked on its plans page (read 16 October 2026)**

| Treatment (Quick Quack’s name) | Ceramic Duck | Lucky Duck | Good |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Ceramic Coating | Yes | No | No |
| 3-Step Paint Sealant | Yes | Yes | No |
| Duck Bath | Yes | Yes | No |
| Ultra Shine | Yes | Yes | No |
| Wax to Seal | Yes | Yes | No |
| Triple Foam Wash | Yes | Yes | No |
| Rain Repellent | Yes | Yes | No |
| Wheel Bright & Tire Shine | Yes | Yes | No |
| Bug Breakdown | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Foam Wash | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Power Blow Dry | Yes | Yes | Yes |

Quick Quack’s “Why Quick Quack” page says the paint sealant “Combines silicone and carnauba waxes” and the Ceramic Duck coating “Provides durable, bonded protection from rain, dirt, pollen, UV rays and more.” None of the pages we read says how long that protection lasts or how it compares with a ceramic coating applied by hand in a detail shop, so read “LONGEST PROTECTION” as a ranking within Quick Quack’s own menu.

Two things no package does. Quick Quack calls itself a chain of “exterior-only express car washes,” so the inside is yours to clean with the “free dash wipes and vacuums” the FAQ offers “at nearly every location.” And the plans list has no underbody rinse. Both store pages we read list “Undercarriage Wash” among their features, while Quick Quack’s blog says an undercarriage clean “typically isn’t part of a standard soft-touch cycle.” If road salt is your reason for washing, ask which package includes it; our [rust prevention routine](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-to-protect-your-car-from-rust/#prevention) explains why the underside matters most.

What do they cost? There is no national price. The plans page shows prices only after you enter a ZIP code (“Please enter your zip code for accurate pricing”), and section 3.1 of the Terms of Service says fees “may be updated from time to time.” We entered no ZIP code. Two store pages, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Sacramento, California, print their prices, and both showed the same monthly prices on 16 October 2026. Neither page labels them as promotions.

**Prices printed on two Quick Quack store pages, 16 October 2026 (two single washes: our arithmetic)**

| Package | Unlimited, per month (Tulsa and Sacramento) | Single wash (Tulsa) | Two single washes (Tulsa) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Ceramic Duck | $39.99 | $27.99 | $55.98 |
| Lucky Duck | $34.99 | $22.99 | $45.98 |
| Good | $24.99 | $12.99 | $25.98 |

At the Tulsa prices, by our arithmetic, a membership beats single washes from the second wash of the month on every package: two Ceramic Duck washes cost $15.99 more than a month of Ceramic Duck, two Lucky Duck washes $10.99 more, two Good washes $0.99 more. Wash once a month or less and single washes cost less. Extra cars are cheaper: “Add up to four additional cars from your household to your membership for just $22.00 per vehicle/per month.” The line does not say which packages that covers. The Ceramic Duck card promises “40% or more off the regular price,” and $22.00 is about 45% below $39.99, by our arithmetic.

## How the tunnel works, and what Quick Quack says about your paint

From the FAQ: a Team Member guides you onto the conveyor, “you’ll put your car in neutral, take your foot off the brake and hands off the wheel,” and the car comes out “cleaned, shined and dried in 3 minutes or less.” Members are recognized by the plate or VIN on their account.

Is Quick Quack touchless? No. Its blog says “Quick Quack is a soft-touch car wash. We use Ultra Soft-Touch Cloth Strips rather than stiff brushes or a touchless-only process.” The FAQ calls this “a brushless system” with “hand-cut cloth strips that are gentle on your cars surface.”

On risk, the documents part ways. The FAQ asks “Will the wash damage my vehicle?” and answers “No.” Its September 22, 2026 post on soft-touch and touchless washes is more careful: with soft-touch, “Direct contact means there’s always some small risk of fine swirl marks, particularly if the wash uses older equipment or doesn’t clean its materials often.” It suggests touchless for “vehicles with delicate finishes, vinyl wraps, or aftermarket parts where any contact feels risky,” and a companion post tells new-car owners to “ask about the specific materials used.” That is sound advice, and it comes from Quick Quack.

## Vehicles and accessories Quick Quack will not take

The FAQ sets two hard limits: vehicles go through “as long as they don’t exceed 7’2” or have a tire width wider than 13.5”.” By our arithmetic that is 86 inches (about 218 cm) of height, roof load included, and about 343 mm of tire width. Tire sizes print the width first, in millimeters, so compare that number with 343; the size is on the [door-jamb placard](https://baronauto1.com/vehicle-history/tire-size-by-vin/#the-placard). The FAQ also lists “Things that cannot go through the wash”:

- Dually trucks
- Vehicles with bike racks attached
- Non-standard hitches (“some locations cannot accept any hitches”)
- Trucks with beds that are not completely empty
- Vehicles covered in hardened mud “that breaks off in chunks”
- Storage pods on top of the vehicle, and ladder racks

“This list is not all-inclusive,” it adds; “a Team Member can inspect your vehicle before going into the wash.” The Terms of Service go wider: memberships cannot be used for “Non-Compatible Vehicles,” including ones “incompatible by size, design or modification” or with “accessories, trailers or other items attached,” and section 2.3 lets Quick Quack “refuse to permit any person to use the Services for any reason at any time.”

Notice what is missing. Neither the FAQ nor the terms mention aftermarket antennas, light bars, cracked mirrors, loose trim, wraps or tired paint. These lists say what fits the tunnel; no page we read says which parts Quick Quack takes responsibility for.

**Figure: Annotated photograph**

Three numbered callouts over the photograph mark the wash brush, a front tire and the roofline, each with one fact from Quick Quack’s FAQ, blog and Terms of Service.

Quick Quack’s FAQ, blog and Terms of Service, read on 16 October 2026: Soft-touch cloth strips, not touchless: Quick Quack's blog notes a small swirl-mark risk (callout 1); Over 7'2" tall or tires wider than 13.5"? Quick Quack's FAQ says it won't wash it (callout 2); Bike racks, dually rears and non-standard hitches cannot go through (callout 3). The photograph is illustrative.

## How the unlimited membership works

The FAQ’s version: “An unlimited membership lets you wash your car as often as you like at any Quick Quack location.” The Terms of Service fill in the rules:

- **Two kinds.** A “Day Pass” has “a defined end date” and “does not automatically renew.” “Autopay” “automatically renews each month” and keeps renewing until you stop it.
- **Billing date.** You are charged on sign-up, then each month “within one business day before or after the calendar day on which you began.” The terms’ own example: start on the 5th and you are billed around the 5th. A declined card lets Quick Quack “immediately suspend or cancel your membership,” and it “may also update your Payment Method using information provided by payment service providers.”
- **One car each.** “Each membership is per vehicle” and “applies to the vehicle identified at the initial purchase.” “Services are not transferrable between vehicles.”
- **Household plans.** “Only one Flock Pricing plan is available per household and each Flock Pricing plan may only have five (5) active vehicles,” on Autopay only. Swapping cars on a Flock plan is decided “on a case-by-case basis.”
- **Changing package.** An upgrade is charged “immediately”; a downgrade starts “at the beginning of the next billing period.”
- **Personal use only.** Memberships exclude “Commercial Use,” which covers vehicles used “for the transportation of persons or property for hire, compensation or profit” or “by a business.” Read literally, a car you also drive for a rideshare or delivery app falls outside it.
- **Changes.** Quick Quack may change “the Services, fees, costs and pricing, and this Agreement,” effective “on posting,” and will only “endeavor to provide at least seven (7) days’ advance notice” of a material cut in service.

Your plate is part of your login. “Access Credentials” include a “license plate or license plate number,” which you “will not sell or transfer.” On the lot, Automated License Plate Readers capture “images of vehicles and their license plates, along with date, time and general location” to “verify membership status” and “prevent fraud or unauthorized use of memberships.” Quick Quack keeps that data “for as long as we have a business need or are legally required.”

## How to cancel a Quick Quack membership, and the refund rule

The friendly pages make it sound simple. Plans: “Cancel Anytime.” Membership page: “cancel anytime through the app or customer support.” The FAQ points to the myQQ app (“Account,” then “Settings,” then “Cancel Your Membership”) or a phone call, and says your membership “will stay active through the end of the current period. No further payments will be drawn.”

The Terms of Service, which the FAQ itself defers to (“Refer to Terms of Service for details and limitations”), are stricter. Section 5.2 says “you are solely responsible for properly canceling” and “You may cancel the Services by giving notice at least ten (10) days prior to the renewal date of your Services by email” or by phone. The app is not one of the methods it names. The same section adds:

- **An early-exit fee.** “Cancellation of a membership within forty-five (45) days of the initial purchase will be subject to a five dollar ($5.00) cancellation fee applied in Quick Quack’s sole discretion.” No FAQ answer mentions it.
- **Two ways to end.** Choose not to renew and access ends “at the end of the applicable billing period.” Cancel “immediately” and it ends at once, with “no refunds” except at Quick Quack’s discretion. Pick the first: you have paid for those days.
- **Only you.** The terms say “no third-party has any authority to cancel the Services on your behalf,” and Quick Quack “may require reasonable verification.” A cancellation service or a relative does not count.

**Count back ten days from your billing date.** Section 5.2 wants notice at least ten days before renewal. If you renew on the 20th, give notice by the 10th (our arithmetic). Cancel by email so you have a dated copy, keep the reply, and check your next statement. If you use the app instead, screenshot the confirmation.

On refunds, section 3.2(c) says “All payments made to Quick Quack in connection with the Services are non-refundable” and “There is no circumstance in which you will be entitled to, or Quick Quack is required to provide, a refund or credit.” It then allows that Quick Quack “may provide a refund” at its discretion, for example if it ends a paid-up membership “without cause.” The terms provide for no prorating. Cancelling deactivates your account but “does not, by itself, constitute a request to delete your personal information”; ask for that separately. Quick Quack’s own blog tells shoppers to ask “How much notice do you need to give before cancelling?” and whether a plan is prorated. For Quick Quack the answers are ten days, and no.

## If the wash damages your car

This is the part of the paperwork that matters most and says least. No page we could read publishes a damage-claim process: no form, no reporting deadline, no list of excluded parts. (Quick Quack’s robots.txt shuts automated readers out of the account and membership areas, and we did not open them or visit a location to read posted signs.) The Terms of Service handle damage like this:

- Section 6.1: “THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN ‘AS IS’ AND ‘AS AVAILABLE’ BASIS, WITH NO WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER.”
- Section 6.2: your use is “AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK” and “YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LIABILITY, CLAIM, DAMAGES, LOSS, COST OR EXPENSE” that results.
- Section 7: no liability for “ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF, UNDER OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES IN EXCESS OF THREE TIMES THE MOST RECENT PAYMENT IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES, IF ANY, OR $100, WHICHEVER AMOUNT IS GREATER.”

**Quick Quack’s liability cap (Terms of Service section 7) applied to printed Tulsa prices, 16 October 2026 (our arithmetic)**

| Your most recent payment | Three times that payment | Cap under section 7 (the greater) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Ceramic Duck month, $39.99 | $119.97 | $119.97 |
| Lucky Duck month, $34.99 | $104.97 | $104.97 |
| Good month, $24.99 | $74.97 | $100 |
| Ceramic Duck single wash, $27.99 | $83.97 | $100 |
| Good single wash, $12.99 | $38.97 | $100 |

Any last payment above $33.33 lifts the cap above $100. If a repair costs more than the cap and Quick Quack holds to it, the terms leave the difference with you. Whether a court or arbitrator would enforce the cap where the equipment itself caused the damage is a legal question; this site is not a law firm. Your own auto policy may be the other route, so check its comprehensive and collision cover and deductible.

The guarantees Quick Quack does print are about cleanliness. The “100% Clean Car Guarantee” offers a re-wash “only while you’re still on-site or within 30 minutes of your original wash,” and the rain check a free wash “If it rains within 48 hours.” Neither mentions scratches or parts. Quick Quack’s blog gives the best advice here: “Ask what happens if something on your car is damaged during a wash, specifically what the claims process looks like and what, if anything, is excluded from coverage.” Ask the site manager for the policy in writing before you join. If something goes wrong, report it before you leave the lot, photograph the damage with the time showing, and ask for the incident to be recorded. Other chains word their damage terms differently; we read them on our pages about [Club Car Wash](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/club-car-wash/), [Flagship Carwash](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/flagship-carwash/) and [Whistle Express](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/whistle-express-car-wash/).

## Arbitration, the class waiver and how to opt out

The Terms of Service open with a warning that you agree to “THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER DESCRIBED IN SECTION 9.3.” Any dispute except a small-claims case goes to “A SINGLE ARBITRATOR UNDER THE THEN CURRENT RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION RATHER THAN LITIGATE THE DISPUTE IN COURT,” under California law, and you agree “NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.” Quick Quack keeps the right to seek equitable relief “in any jurisdiction.”

The agreement “TAKES EFFECT ON THE EARLIER OF WHEN YOU CLICK THE ACCEPT BUTTON OR FIRST ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES,” so by its wording a single wash counts. To opt out, “YOU MUST NOTIFY QUICK QUACK IN WRITING, BY MAIL TO QUICK QUACK AT 1380 LEAD HILL BLVD #260 ROSEVILLE, CA 95661, WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE EFFECTIVE DATE.” The clause names mail only. If you want to keep your right to go to court, send a short signed letter within 30 days of your first wash or sign-up and keep proof of posting. Small claims court stays open either way. The separate Website Terms of Use (Last Modified July 10, 2026) cover the website, not the wash, and add that claims about the site “MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR.” The Terms of Service print no date; the version quoted is the one we read on 16 October 2026.

## Bought a used car? What a tunnel wash can and cannot be trusted with

A newly bought used car is the car a tunnel wash knows least about. You may not know whether a panel was resprayed, whether the trim clips are tired, or what the last owner bolted on. Quick Quack’s own advice to choose touchless for “a delicate finish, a wrap, or aftermarket trim” applies with extra force here; our guides to [inspecting a modified used car](https://baronauto1.com/buying-guides/buying-a-modified-used-car/#inspect) and to [why a repaint may not match the factory code](https://baronauto1.com/vehicle-history/vin-paint-code/#variants) cover the clues. Put Quick Quack’s limits and its own blog advice together and they describe the car its soft-touch tunnel suits: original paint and trim in good order, nothing on the roof or hitch, tires under 13.5 inches wide and a height under 7’2”. Anything else is your call, and under the terms it is your risk.

Three rules matter more to a second owner than to anyone else:

- **The seller’s membership.** A membership “applies to the vehicle identified at the initial purchase,” and the plate is one of the account’s “Access Credentials.” If the car keeps the seller’s plate, or the seller registered its VIN, it may still be linked to their account, and you cannot take over their plan. Ask the seller to remove the car from it at the sale. Quick Quack’s vehicle pages are closed to automated readers, so we cannot describe that screen.
- **Commercial use.** Bought the car to drive for a rideshare or delivery app? Read the personal-use rule before you sign up.
- **The opt-out clock.** The 30 days for an arbitration opt-out run from your first wash, not from the day you bought the car.

- **Measure first.** Roof height with racks fitted against 7’2”; the first number of the tire size against 343. Remove bike racks, ladder racks and roof pods; empty a truck bed.
- **Walk round the car.** Look for loose trim, cracked mirror housings, lifting wraps or film, peeling clear coat, aftermarket antennas and light bars, and point them out to the Team Member before the tunnel.
- **Take dated photos.** Photograph every panel before the first wash so you can show the car’s condition later.
- **Get the damage policy in writing.** Ask what is excluded and how to report a problem.
- **Check the underbody option.** Where roads are salted, ask which package at that store includes the undercarriage wash.
- **Mark your billing day.** Set a reminder ten days before it, and one at day 45 if you might cancel early.
- **Clear the seller’s link.** Ask the seller to remove the car from any Quick Quack account, and file the bill of sale with your [ownership records](https://baronauto1.com/buying-guides/what-to-do-after-buying-a-used-car/#records).
- **Decide on arbitration.** To keep court as an option, mail the opt-out letter within 30 days of your first visit.

None of this makes a tunnel wash a bad idea; Quick Quack’s FAQ is right that washing helps “remove harmful sap, pollen and prevent rust corrosion.” The point is to know which risks the paperwork leaves with you. If the car already has dents, our [Dent Wizard page](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/dent-wizard/#what-pdr-fixes) covers what paintless repair can and cannot fix.

## Where Quick Quack’s own documents disagree

Read side by side, Quick Quack’s pages say different things in at least nine places. Where they conflict on money or your rights, the Terms of Service are the contract; the FAQ itself defers to them.

Smaller differences: the About page puts headquarters in Rocklin while the terms send opt-out mail to Roseville and Seidler’s page says Sacramento, and where the About page traces the business to “a local car wash in Sacramento, CA,” Seidler’s founder story names “our first location in Carmichael, California in 2004.” The cancellation and damage rows are the ones that matter, because there the friendly pages and the contract point in different directions. Quick Quack’s robots.txt also says “AI / LLM crawlers are explicitly welcome” while its Terms of Use bar “any robot, spider, or other automatic device”; we followed the stricter rule and read each page once by hand.
