# Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change: Price, Warranty, Owner

> Strickland Brothers prints no oil-change price or warranty. What its coupon terms, oil menu, fleet discounts and disclosure document say, and who owns it.

## The short version

- Strickland Brothers prints no oil-change price. Its FAQ says the price depends on your engine’s oil capacity, the oil type and “local market rates,” and promises “a full quote upfront before we begin any work.” Ask for it, and check that it covers tax and shop fees.
- Coupons cover “up to 5 quarts of oil,” with an “Additional charge for oil over 5 quarts,” possible fees for specialty filters, and tax and shop fees excluded. They are not valid with fleet discounts.
- No page on the company’s site states a warranty on the work. The only guarantee we found is in its 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document: an “absolute satisfaction guarantee program” franchisees must join, with no customer terms published.
- If your owner’s manual calls for a dexos-approved oil, note that Strickland Brothers’ own FAQ says its Valvoline Restore & Protect oil is not dexos certified.
- Fleet accounts start at three vehicles, with printed discounts of 10% for 3 to 14 vehicles up to 25% for 50 or more.
- Most shops are company-run, not franchised: 159 of 226 at the end of 2023, according to the disclosure document. Princeton Equity Group has controlled the company since May 13, 2021.

A Strickland Brothers oil change is a stay-in-your-car, no-appointment service in a drive-thru bay, and what you pay, which oil goes in and what happens if something goes wrong are set by fine print spread across several documents. On 16 October 2026 we read the company’s site, sboilchange.com (its service, coupon, fleet, terms, privacy, About and franchise pages and four news releases), its investors’ January 22, 2026 releases, and the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) of SB Oil Change Franchising, LLC issued May 14, 2024, with Minnesota’s 2025 order cancelling its registration there. The look-alike stricklandbrothers.com showed a domain-parking page when we checked. This site has no commercial relationship with Strickland Brothers, its owners or any oil brand.

Nine situations a Strickland Brothers customer meets, each answered from sboilchange.com's oil-change, Restore & Protect, inspection, tire-rotation and fleet pages, its coupon terms, or its May 14, 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document.

## What a Strickland Brothers oil change costs, and what the paperwork says about price

No page we read gives a price, a starting price or a range. The oil-change FAQ answers its own question, “How much does an oil change cost at Strickland Brothers?”, this way: “Oil change pricing at Strickland Brothers varies depending on your vehicle’s oil capacity, the type of oil required (Conventional, High-Mileage, or Full Synthetic), and local market rates.” It tells you to “call for local pricing and available coupons” and adds a promise worth holding the shop to: “We provide a full quote upfront before we begin any work–no hidden fees, no surprises.”

The coupon disclaimer in the Terms and Conditions (effective June 18, 2026) shows how a bill grows beyond the headline. Unless a coupon says otherwise, it applies “to full-service oil changes only, up to 5 quarts of oil. Additional charge for oil over 5 quarts. Additional fees for specialty oil filters may apply. Excludes tax and shop fees.” So four things can be added: extra quarts for a larger engine, a specialty filter, tax, and a shop fee, none of which is priced anywhere we looked.

Who sets the price? Item 16 of the FDD lets the franchisor “prohibit you from charging prices lower than our published prices for any service or item” and “periodically suggest pricing.” No prices are published on the public site, and the FAQ’s “local market rates” points the same way: two shops can quote different totals for the same car.

**Ask for the full quote before the technician starts, and read it line by line.** Strickland Brothers says it gives one “upfront before we begin any work.” Check that it names the oil, the number of quarts your engine takes, the filter, any coupon, the tax and any shop fee.

### The only dated figures on spending: the 2023 “ticket”

The FDD’s Item 19 is the one document with a number on what customers spent. For 81 company-run shops that had operated for at least 12 full months, it prints an “AVG Ticket” of $86.86 for 2023 (by shop, $61.81 to $109.26); for 39 franchised shops, a “Ticket Avg.” of $88.78 ($66.78 to $122.55). It defines the word: “‘Ticket’ means the total sale price per customer.” Three limits apply: “These results are unaudited”; they describe 2023; and a ticket includes add-ons and whatever oil each customer chose, so it is not the price of any one service. The same tables print a “Discount %” of 7% and 9% (promotions and other marketing discounts) without saying what it is measured against.

## What the 10-minute drive-thru oil change includes

The oil-change page describes four steps. A team member greets you “with a bottle of water,” guides you into a bay and confirms the mileage. The technicians help you pick an oil that “aligns with your manufacturer’s recommendations,” drain the old oil and refill. Then comes a “complimentary multi-point courtesy check,” and finally a “final safety check,” a review of the service, a reset of your oil light and an air freshener. You stay in the car the whole time: “you can stay in your car for the entire service,” the FAQ says. Payment is by “all major credit and debit cards,” and “Cash is also welcome.”

On time, the site says “Most of our oil changes are completed in about 10 minutes”; the FDD describes oil changes “taking no more than 10 minutes.” Neither comes with a remedy, and a queue or an add-on adds time. The four steps never mention the oil filter; the coupon terms’ line on “specialty oil filters” implies one is fitted, so check that the invoice lists a new filter.

The courtesy check is the one list printed the same way on nearly every page:

**What Strickland Brothers’ pages say is checked and what is sold on top (read 16 October 2026)**

| Page | What it lists | Free or paid |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Home and services pages, “Courtesy Checks” | Front and rear exterior lights, engine air filter, windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, tire pressure, wiper blades, cabin air filter (7 items) | Free: “Stop by any of our locations and we will perform any of our courtesy checks for FREE” |
| Oil-change FAQ, “What’s included” | The same 7 items | Included with every oil change |
| Oil-change page, step 3 | “We’ll top off your fluids and check your vehicle’s lights, cabin and engine air filters, windshield wipers, and tire pressure” | Included |
| Services page, “Additional Services and Products” | Air filter, cabin air filter, wiper blades, tire rotation (select locations), additives | “available for purchase” |
| Fleet page, add-ons | Wiper blades, cabin or engine air filters, tire rotation (select locations), “premium fuel and oil additives” | Paid add-ons |

The home page offers the courtesy checks free to anyone who stops by, not only to oil-change customers. And every item on the check is something the shop also sells. The FAQ says staff will “walk you through anything that needs attention – with zero pressure.” Before saying yes to a filter or blades, ask to see the old part and check your manual’s replacement interval.

## The oil menu: Economy, high mileage, full synthetic, diesel and Restore & Protect

The oil-change page lists six oils: Valvoline™ Restore & Protect, Premium Full Synthetic High Mileage, Premium Full Synthetic, Premium High Mileage, Economy and Diesel; apart from Restore & Protect, no brand is named. Economy is “Not recommended for over 75,000 miles”; both high-mileage oils are “Great for over 75,000 miles.” Those lines are marketing, not a specification: your engine needs the viscosity and approval in your owner’s manual, and the FAQ says technicians help “based on your manufacturer’s recommendations.”

The pages do not agree on what is offered. The price FAQ speaks of “Conventional, High-Mileage, or Full Synthetic”; the synthetic-oil page says of synthetic blend and full synthetic “We carry both options,” yet no blend is on the menu; the fleet page lists yet another set. Ask which oil, by name and viscosity, will go in, and have it written on the invoice.

Diesel engines and European cars need a call first. “Service availability for diesel engines and select European vehicles may vary by location,” the FAQ says, recommending “calling your nearest location ahead of time to confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle.” If your manual lists a carmaker’s own oil approval, that is the thing to confirm on the phone.

### Restore & Protect, and the dexos question

Strickland Brothers gives Valvoline’s Restore & Protect its own page. It comes in three grades: SAE 0W-20, SAE 5W-20 and SAE 5W-30. Its deposit claim (“Up to 100% piston deposit removal”) holds “when used as directed for four or more consecutive oil changes at standard maintenance intervals, based on adapted sequence IIIH testing.” The oil-change page says it is “Not recommended for European vehicles.”

Then this: “Is Restore & Protect DEXOS certified? No. If you are looking for a DEXOS-certified product, the Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic and Extended Protection items are DEXOS certified.” Neither of those two products appears on Strickland Brothers’ oil menu, which lists an unbranded “Premium Full Synthetic.” If your manual specifies a dexos-approved oil, ask the shop to show you the approval on the oil it will use, and decline Restore & Protect. The page’s own warranty answer is conditional too: there are “no warranty concerns” if you use the grade and “oil specification your manufacturer recommends.”

The same page still says Restore & Protect “will be available here beginning Winter 2023.” For what sets an oil-change interval, see our guide to [synthetic oil intervals](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-often-to-change-oil/#synthetic) and the [severe-service schedule](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-often-to-change-oil/#severe).

## Is there a warranty or guarantee? What the site leaves out and the FDD adds

None of the 22 sboilchange.com documents we read (every service page, the coupons, fleet, terms, privacy, contact, About and franchise pages, and four news releases) states a warranty or guarantee on Strickland Brothers’ own work: no time or mileage limit, no list of what is covered, no damage-claim procedure. The Terms and Conditions have four sections (SMS opt-in, SMS opt-out, the coupon disclaimer, and policy updates) and say nothing on the subject.

The franchise documents say more. The FDD issued May 14, 2024 tells prospective franchisees: “We have an absolute satisfaction guarantee program for your customers that you must participate in at your cost. As part of the 100% satisfaction guarantee program, you must notify us of any customer complaints which you have not satisfied within 48 hours of the complaint.” The franchisor may act “to satisfy the customer’s complaint and invoice you for the costs.” The franchise agreement requires answers to complaints “within 48 hours” and compliance with the franchisor’s decision, “including, but not limited to, the issuance of refunds and/or offering of free services to customers,” plus a “video and/or security system” the franchisor can view “at any time.”

Those clauses describe a complaint process with a head office behind it, at least at franchised shops. They do not say what a customer is entitled to or how a claim is decided, and the FDD does not say whether the program covers company-run shops, which are not franchisees.

One more line in the FDD shows that damage claims are a regular cost. Item 19’s 2023 expense table for the 81 company-run shops includes “Damage Claims” averaging $4,818.92 a shop, with a median of $3,950.66 and a range from $0 to $19,685.50 (unaudited). The FDD does not say what kind of damage or how many claims.

**With no written warranty, your evidence is the invoice and your own record of the visit.** Before you drive off, check the invoice for the oil name and viscosity, quarts, filter and mileage. If a leak, a warning light or a noise appears afterwards, go back to the same shop first, in writing if you can, and do not let another shop repair it before Strickland Brothers has seen it. The franchise agreement requires franchised shops to run a video system; ask that the footage of your visit be kept.

For complaints, the contact page lists five routes: calling the shop, the site’s contact form, a text line, a customer service phone line (“available Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm ET”) and a customer-relations email address. Use a written route so the date is on record.

Other oil-change chains print their promise in different ways. From this site’s readings of their own pages (written terms only, not prices or service):

**What six oil-change chains print about their own work (each read from the chain’s pages on the date shown)**

| Chain | Written promise on oil-change work | Read on |
| --- | --- | --- |

**Figure: Annotated photograph**

Three numbered callouts over the photograph mark the engine, the dipstick handle and the air intake, each with one fact from Strickland Brothers’ coupon terms and FAQ.

Strickland Brothers’ coupon terms and FAQ, read on 16 October 2026: Coupons cover up to 5 quarts; oil over 5 quarts and specialty filters cost extra (callout 1); Restore & Protect is not dexos certified, Strickland’s own FAQ says: check your manual (callout 2); Free courtesy check: air and cabin filters, lights, wipers, fluids, tire pressure (callout 3). The photograph is illustrative.

## Will a Strickland Brothers oil change affect your car’s factory warranty?

Not by itself, and Strickland Brothers says so: “Getting your oil changed at Strickland Brothers should not affect your vehicle’s warranty. We recommend following your manufacturer’s recommended service intervals and oil specifications.” The FTC’s guidance on [auto warranties and service contracts](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/auto-warranties-and-auto-service-contracts) agrees: “it’s illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage because you had routine maintenance or repairs done by someone else.” Behind it are 15 U.S.C. 2302(c), which bars tying a warranty to a service “identified by brand, trade, or corporate name” unless it is provided without charge, and 16 CFR 700.10(c), which bars requiring “the use of only authorized repair service.”

The second sentence is the condition that matters. If your warranty includes free maintenance, the FTC says the maker “can make you use repair facilities it chooses.” And if work is done wrong and damages a covered part, the maker “can deny warranty coverage for the damaged part,” though it “must prove” the cause. An oil that does not meet your manual’s specification is the obvious route into that limit, which is why the dexos answer above matters.

The FTC’s practical advice is to “Keep records of repairs and maintenance like oil changes.” At a drive-thru with no written warranty, the invoice is that record. Our page on [oil-change records](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/how-often-to-change-oil/#records) shows what a usable one contains, and our guide to whether an [extended warranty is worth it](https://baronauto1.com/financing/is-an-extended-warranty-worth-it/#how-a-claim-works) explains how a service contract tests them.

## Coupons, their fine print, and the text and privacy terms

Strickland Brothers’ coupons change, and the coupons page runs them under a “For A Limited Time:” countdown, so we quote no amounts. On 16 October 2026 there were two, one for the Economy oil change and one for any premium oil change. What does not change is the fine print:

- **Quarts and extras.** Coupons cover “up to 5 quarts of oil,” with an “Additional charge for oil over 5 quarts,” possible “Additional fees for specialty oil filters,” and tax and shop fees excluded.
- **One at a time.** “Limit one per vehicle,” and coupons “may not be combined with other oil change coupons, discounts, or promotions.” The coupons FAQ: “Generally, we only allow one coupon or discount per visit.”
- **Not with fleet pricing.** “Not valid with fleet discounts.”
- **Show it at service.** A coupon “must be presented at time of service”; the FAQ says to show it on your phone or bring a printed copy.
- **Dates.** “Yes, most coupons have a specific expiration date listed on the coupon,” and the company reserves “the right to discontinue any promotion at any time.”

Where a coupon works is the one point on which the two documents disagree. The terms’ disclaimer says “Valid only at this location for a limited time.” The coupons FAQ says “unless explicity stated on the voucher, our coupons are valid at all locations!” Read the voucher itself, and if it names a shop, ask any other shop before you rely on it.

Getting a coupon means handing over an email address or mobile number. The text option’s fine print consents to “automated promotional text messages” and says “This consent is not required to purchase goods or services.” Messages may include reminders and “customer experience surveys,” you opt out “by replying STOP,” and SMS consent data “are not shared, sold, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.”

The privacy policy says “We do not sell your personal information,” and lists the site’s trackers: Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, HubSpot, and Microsoft Clarity, used for “session recordings, heatmaps, and usage analytics.” We found no loyalty program, membership plan, financing offer or price match on the pages we read.

## Fleet accounts: the printed discount tiers

Strickland Brothers prints its fleet discounts as a standing table rather than leaving them to a sales call. The fleet page says accounts “can be initiated with a minimum of three vehicles and may qualify for the following discounts”:

**Strickland Brothers fleet discount packages, as printed on its fleet page (read 16 October 2026)**

| Vehicles in the fleet | Discount printed |
| --- | --- |
| 3 to 14 | 10% |
| 15 to 29 | 15% |
| 30 to 49 | 20% |
| 50 or more | 25% |

Three caveats. The wording is “may qualify,” and the page does not say what the percentage comes off, since no regular price is published. Fleet pricing does not stack with coupons: the terms say coupons are “Not valid with fleet discounts.” And the application asks whether the account is “Billed centrally” or “Drivers pay at the shop at the time of service,” which also decides who holds each vehicle’s service records.

The fleet page lists the same courtesy check and sells the same add-ons, from wiper blades to “premium fuel and oil additives.” Get the per-vehicle oil, quart and filter terms in writing, since the discount alone does not say what it applies to.

## State inspections, emissions tests and tire rotations

Some Strickland Brothers shops do state vehicle inspections and emissions tests. The inspection page lists state inspections in Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina and Virginia, and emissions inspections in Georgia, North Carolina and Texas, “At select locations” in each case; that is 5 states in all, by our count. Emissions tests use the car’s on-board diagnostic system, which the page says has been installed “on all new vehicles since 1996.” To find out whether your shop does inspections, the page says to check the “Available Services” list on the shop’s page.

On time and fees, the page gives a range and a caution. Most inspections take “approximately 15 to 30 minutes,” and “Inspection fees are generally set by the state government. Pricing typically starts around $13.60 for safety-only and up to $30.00 for full emissions and safety, depending on your vehicle’s year and your county’s regulations.” The page does not say which state those figures belong to; treat them as an example and check your own state’s fee. Our page on [what a car inspection costs](https://baronauto1.com/buying-guides/how-much-does-a-car-inspection-cost/#state-price) explains how states set them, and our [Kwik Kar page](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/kwik-kar/#inspections) covers what Texas still inspects.

What to bring depends on which part of the page you read: “Bring your vehicle registration and ID,” says the summary; “your vehicle registration and proof of insurance,” says the FAQ. Bring all three. If the car fails, the shop gives you “a report detailing the issues,” and “Many states offer a free or discounted re-inspection” within a set period (“e.g., 30-60 days”).

### Tire rotations

Tire rotations are “offered at select Strickland Brothers locations,” and they are the one service where you leave the car: “our team will ask you to step out of your vehicle before we begin your tire rotation service.” The page puts the interval at “every 5,000 to 10,000 miles” for most vehicles, with the owner’s manual as the authority, and the time at “approximately less than 10 to 15 minutes.” No price is printed. Our page on [tire rotation cost and intervals](https://baronauto1.com/car-care/tire-rotation-cost/#interval) explains what a rotation can and cannot fix.

## Who owns Strickland Brothers, and who runs your shop

Justin Strickland founded the chain, opening the first shop in Thomasville, North Carolina, in 2016; the company is headquartered in Winston-Salem. Three entities sit behind the sign, according to the FDD’s Item 1. Strickland’s Enterprises, LLC (formed May 15, 2012) has run Strickland Brothers shops “since December 2016” and operates the company-owned ones. SB Oil Change Franchising, LLC has sold franchises since October 2019 and does “not own or operate any” shops itself. And both belong to SB PEP Holdco, LLC, which “acquired 100% of the membership interests” of the two on May 13, 2021 and “is controlled by Princeton Equity Group,” a private equity firm in Princeton, New Jersey.

Two newer investors appear in January 2026 releases. Audax Strategic Capital announced “a structured equity investment” in Strickland Brothers, which it calls “a portfolio company of Princeton Equity Group”; the transaction “closed on January 2, 2026” and its terms “are not disclosed” ([Audax’s release](https://audaxprivateequity.com/news/audax-strategic-capital-invests-in-princeton-equity-group-backed-strickland-brothers)). Audax describes its fund’s investments as “non-control.” Princeton’s release of the same day announces “Strickland Brothers Closes $360 Million Committed Financing,” provided by Golub Capital and Audax Strategic Capital, “designed to support the Company’s acquisition activity.” Neither release splits the $360 million between debt and equity. On what we read, Princeton Equity Group remains the controlling owner.

The FDD’s Item 20 gives the only dated count of shops, and it contradicts the idea of a mostly franchised chain:

**Strickland Brothers outlets, from the Franchise Disclosure Document issued May 14, 2024 (Item 20, Table 1)**

| At year end | Franchised | Company-owned | Total |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 2021 | 21 | 58 | 79 |
| 2022 | 47 | 85 | 132 |
| 2023 | 67 | 159 | 226 |

By our arithmetic, 70.4% of shops were company-owned at the end of 2023 and 29.6% franchised, and the chain added 147 shops in two years, 101 of them company-owned. North Carolina alone had 67 (60 company-owned); Texas had 20. The franchisor projected 40 new franchised and 44 new company-owned shops for 2024. The FDD has a flaw of its own: Table 3, which counts franchised shops state by state, adds up to 66 at the end of 2023, not 67.

Since then, only rounded figures exist: “more than 250 locations” (July 2025), “270+” (Princeton’s portfolio page), “over 280” and “285+” (both on the About page), “290+ locations in 27 states” (September 21, 2026) and “nearly 300 locations across 27 states, as of January 2026” (the investors). None splits company-owned from franchised, but the company’s own words point one way: it has “helped owners successfully transition 180+ locations” into the chain, and a July 28, 2026 release expects “nearly 80 corporate locations” to be “acquired or opened” in 2026. Its 2025 purchase of Iowa’s LOF Xpress (three shops) is one example.

For a customer, ownership matters in two places: prices are local, and the FDD’s satisfaction program is written for franchisees. The site does not say which shops are franchised. If you plan to rely on a promise made at the counter, ask who owns the shop and get the promise on the invoice.

### What the public record shows

The FDD’s Item 3, where a franchisor must disclose material litigation, says “No litigation is required to be disclosed in this Item,” and Item 4 reports no bankruptcy, as of May 14, 2024. Web searches on 16 October 2026 found no state attorney-general or FTC action naming Strickland Brothers, and we did not search court dockets.

One administrative record stands out. Minnesota’s Department of Commerce issued an Order of Cancellation on 19 August 2025 because the franchisor “has failed to file an annual report and fee” under Minnesota’s franchise law; the order cancels the registration and alleges nothing about customers or service. Yet the franchise page, dated July 2026 in its page data, still lists Minnesota among “available territories.” Nothing we read says whether the franchisor has registered again.

## Where Strickland Brothers’ own documents disagree

Besides the points covered above (where coupons work, the oil menu, inspection paperwork, the time promise and the location counts), we found these:

- **The FDD’s own counts.** Item 19 says the operating affiliate “operates 58 businesses,” the number Table 1 gives for the end of 2021; the same Item counts 81 company-run representative shops, and Item 20 counts 159 company-owned shops at the end of 2023. Table 3’s 2021 total row prints 11 franchised shops at year end where Table 1 shows 21.
- **The About page against the FDD.** The About page says the chain had “over 150 locations open by the end of” 2022; the FDD counts 132, 18 fewer by our arithmetic. The About page may be counting the car washes it says were acquired in June 2022 (Trademark Car Wash and Quick Shine Car Wash); it does not say.
- **Published prices.** The FDD lets the franchisor stop franchisees charging less than “our published prices”; the public site publishes none.
- **Stale and misspelled text.** Restore & Protect “will be available here beginning Winter 2023,” and the oil-change page names “a Stickland Brothers near you.”
- **The domain.** stricklandbrothers.com served a parking page on 16 October 2026; the brand’s site is sboilchange.com.

Not published at all: a price for any service, the charge per extra quart, the specialty-filter and shop fees, any warranty or claim procedure, which shops are franchised, which shops do inspections or tire rotations (except through the location finder), and whether a shop will take a customer’s own oil.

## Before and after a Strickland Brothers visit

- **Check the manual first.** Note the oil specification and any approval (dexos, a carmaker’s own code), the capacity with filter, and the interval.
- **Diesel or European car? Call ahead.** The FAQ says availability “may vary by location.”
- **Bring the coupon, and read where it is valid.** One per vehicle, not with fleet discounts, up to 5 quarts.
- **Ask for the full quote before work starts.** Oil name and viscosity, quarts, filter, coupon, tax and shop fee.
- **Weigh each recommendation.** Ask to see the old filter or blade, and check your manual’s interval.
- **Read the invoice before you drive off.** It is your only record: oil, quantity, filter, mileage, the shop’s name.
- **Check afterwards.** Look at the dipstick and for drips after the first drive. If something is wrong, go back to the same shop in writing and ask that the visit’s video be kept.

## Common questions

### How much is an oil change at Strickland Brothers?

Strickland Brothers does not publish a price. Its FAQ says the price depends on your engine’s oil capacity, the oil type and “local market rates,” and that the shop gives “a full quote upfront.” Coupons cover up to 5 quarts, with extra oil, specialty filters, tax and shop fees on top. The FDD’s unaudited 2023 average ticket, $86.86 at company-run shops, includes add-ons and is not a price.

### Does Strickland Brothers have a warranty or guarantee on oil changes?

None is printed on sboilchange.com. The 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document describes an “absolute satisfaction guarantee program” franchisees must join, with complaints answered within 48 hours and possible refunds or free services, but no customer terms are published. Keep the invoice and raise any problem with the same shop in writing.

### How long does it take, and do I stay in the car?

The company says “Most of our oil changes are completed in about 10 minutes,” with no appointment, and you stay in the car for the whole oil change. For a tire rotation you step out. Inspections take about 15 to 30 minutes, the inspection page says.

### Do Strickland Brothers coupons work at every location?

The documents disagree. The coupons FAQ says coupons “are valid at all locations” unless the voucher says otherwise; the Terms and Conditions say “Valid only at this location for a limited time.” Read the voucher, and expect one coupon per visit and none with fleet discounts.

### Who owns Strickland Brothers, and is it a franchise?

Princeton Equity Group has controlled the company since May 13, 2021, through SB PEP Holdco, LLC; Audax Strategic Capital made a structured equity investment that closed on January 2, 2026. It franchises, but most shops are company-run: 159 of 226 at the end of 2023, according to the FDD. Later counts (“nearly 300” in January 2026) do not give the split.

### Does Strickland Brothers do state inspections?

At select shops: state inspections in Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina and Virginia, and emissions tests in Georgia, North Carolina and Texas. Check the shop’s “Available Services” list, and bring your registration, ID and proof of insurance.
