## The short version

- RefiJet is the trade name of Yield Solutions Group, LLC, of Centennial, Colorado. Its Terms say “RefiJet is not a lender”: a lender it does not name approves, funds and services the loan, and pays RefiJet’s owner for funded loans.
- The Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner lists the business name “refijet.com” under Yield Solutions Group, LLC, Regulated Lender licence 159709, now “Transitioned to NMLS.” RefiJet’s pages print no NMLS number and no other state licence.
- RefiJet’s own check is a soft pull. Its FAQ says a hard inquiry “only occurs when you formally apply,” and its Terms say the lender then “will obtain a credit report on you.”
- Its home page prints standing terms: 24 to 96 months, a minimum credit score of 560, loans of $5,000 to $150,000, a minimum income of $1,900 single or $2,200 joint, and an existing auto loan on your credit file.
- The “$150/month” average counts only borrowers who chose a lower payment; a 2025 post says $134, and its own $727 and $596 averages differ by $131. Stretched to 96 months, RefiJet’s worked example costs $4,552.02 more interest than the original loan (our arithmetic).
- RefiJet’s Terms contain no arbitration clause and cap its liability at $200. The CFPB lists 22 complaints against Yield Solutions Group, LLC received through 15 October 2026, all answered on time.

RefiJet is a Colorado auto refinance company that takes your application, mostly by phone, matches it to a participating lender and prepares the paperwork; the lender approves, funds and services the loan. On 16 October 2026 we read RefiJet’s Terms and Conditions (effective 1 January 2026), Website Privacy Policy (updated 5 October 2026), GLBA notice, consent, FAQ, eligibility, GAP, service contract and lease buyout pages, 22 of its blog posts and press releases, and its owner’s site. We also searched the Texas regulator’s licensee database, the CFPB’s complaint and enforcement records and EDGAR. RefiJet’s Terms bar automated reading, so we read each page once by hand. We started no rate check or application, and this site has no commercial relationship with RefiJet or any lender.

**Figure: RefiJet’s headline numbers, read against its own fine print**

A seven-row table setting RefiJet’s up-front claims against its own documents: no fee to apply, but the lender pays RefiJet’s owner for funded loans and title fees and add-ons go into the loan; a $150 monthly average that counts only borrowers who chose a lower payment, beside a 2025 post’s $134 and its own $727 and $596 averages, which differ by $131; no impact to your credit score from RefiJet’s soft pull, but a hard inquiry by the lender when you formally apply; no payments for up to 3 months, against a February 2026 post’s usual gap of 30 to 45 days; terms of 24 to 96 months, where 96 months on RefiJet’s own worked example costs $4,552 more interest than the original loan by our arithmetic; a company that says it is not a lender, holding Texas Regulated Lender licence 159709 under Yield Solutions Group, LLC; and Terms with no arbitration clause that cap RefiJet’s liability at $200.

Read from RefiJet’s home, Auto Refinancing, GAP and Terms pages, two of its blog posts, its owner’s site and the Texas OCCC licensee search on 16 October 2026.

## What RefiJet is, and who actually lends

RefiJet’s Terms describe a matchmaker: “We connect individuals like you interested in credit with third party entities,” its “Participating Lenders.” Then, plainly: “RefiJet is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.” It “does not provide an offer of credit,” “plays no role in ... establishing the rates and/or terms,” does not guarantee “THE BEST TERMS OR LOWEST RATES AVAILABLE,” and “is not acting and does not act as an agent for you.”

No refijet.com page names a lender. Its Electronic Consent refers to “participating banks, finance companies, and credit unions,” and a 25 June 2020 release announced a partnership that “connects auto refinance brokers with credit unions through Origence’s CUDL network.” The owner’s site, written for lenders, cites “credit unions, regional banks, finance companies, and an OEM finance company” and names one: Premier Members Credit Union, in a testimonial saying it took applications “from a total of 12 states.” The legal name on your loan contract is the first thing to check.

The owner’s lender page sets out who does what. Yield Solutions Group markets, screens applications against each lender’s criteria and “offers back-end product options as approved by the Lender”; the lender underwrites; “The Lender reviews the loan package and provides the funds to YSG”; Yield Solutions Group pays off the old loan and handles the title; and “The Lender books and services its new loan.” After closing, you pay the lender.

How RefiJet is paid is stated on the owner’s site, not on refijet.com: “Fees are only due to YSG from the Lender for funded loans.” No page gives the amount. RefiJet in turn “pays a set commission for each referred, funded application” to affiliates, keeps landing pages for LendingTree and NerdWallet referrals, and offers customers “a $250 gift card when the loan is completed” for a referral. Everyone is paid when a loan funds. The owner also tells lenders whom it targets: consumers “with strong auto loan payment histories,” the “best-performing assets from other lender’s portfolios.”

## Who owns RefiJet, and the licence behind it

Yield Solutions Group describes itself as “a Colorado LLC established February 3, 2016,” trading “under the dba RefiJet”; RefiJet’s About page dates its launch to October 2016. The Electronic Consent says “Yield Solutions Group, LLC,” as do the Texas regulator and the CFPB, but the Website Privacy Policy opens with “Yield Services Group” and calls its GLBA notice the one from “Yield Solutions Group, Inc.”

Who owns the LLC is not public in anything we could read. The About page says RefiJet “was started by a group of experienced entrepreneurs,” its releases describe a co-founder and managing partner, and no page names a parent or investor. The Colorado Secretary of State’s site answered with a Cloudflare challenge, which we did not try to get past, and EDGAR has nothing under either name. The GLBA notice names one affiliate, “related by common ownership or control”: Trusted American Mortgage, LLC, where RefiJet’s “Mortgage” menu item leads.

On licensing, the GLBA notice says: “RefiJet is licensed and examined under the laws of the State of Texas and by state law is subject to regulatory oversight by the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner.” On 16 October 2026 the OCCC’s public licensee search returned, for “refijet,” Regulated Lender licence 159709, business name “refijet.com,” owner/entity **Yield Solutions Group, LLC**, at an older Greenwood Village, Colorado address, status “Transitioned to NMLS.” The other two matches for “Yield” belong to BlueYield, a different company; no registration was found.

A non-lender holding a Regulated Lender licence is less odd than it sounds: the OCCC’s rule, as our [Gravity Lending review](https://baronauto1.com/financing/gravity-lending-review/) read it on 16 October 2026, covers companies “making, transacting, or collecting loans with a rate of interest greater than 10%.” The licence is now administered through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System, but NMLS Consumer Access answered with a Cloudflare challenge, so we could not read that record. RefiJet prints no NMLS number and lists no other state licence. Its owner says it serves “all 50 states” and that “Lenders can define the states from which they will originate loans,” so where you live decides which lenders you see.

## What RefiJet offers, and who it says qualifies

RefiJet’s process page sums up the menu: options for “lowering your payment, changing the term of the loan, or getting cash out.” In detail:

- **Refinancing** of cars, trucks and SUVs for personal use; the FAQ adds “most motorcycles and recreational vehicles.”
- **Lease buyout loans**, with “No down payment required for qualified buyers” and “There’s No Pre-payment Penalty!” Our [lease buyout guide](https://baronauto1.com/financing/lease-buyout/) explains how to read your contract’s purchase option.
- **Cash-out refinancing**: a new loan “for more than you owe” with “the difference in cash,” says an October 2025 post. No page gives a limit or separate terms.
- **Co-borrower changes**, the **add-ons** below, a **Partner Marketplace** of eight other companies’ offers, and the mortgage affiliate.

RefiJet prints its qualifications as standing numbers, in a panel on its home page.

**RefiJet’s printed qualifications, read 16 October 2026**

The same panel prints an estimated rate range footnoted “Rates are current as of June 2026, and subject to change.” We do not repeat advertised rates, which go stale; the FAQ is blunter: “While we can’t tell you in advance what they could be,” terms vary with “your credit situation, your vehicle, and other criteria.” To apply you need your Social Security number, work and residence details, your driver’s license, registration, proof of insurance and an odometer photo, often proof of income and residence, and the title in states where you hold it, all “usually within 30 or 60 days of the contract date.” Our pages on [credit scores and car loans](https://baronauto1.com/financing/credit-score-to-buy-a-car/) and [negative equity](https://baronauto1.com/financing/negative-equity-car-loan/) explain how lenders weigh both.

## What it costs, and how RefiJet words its rates

RefiJet’s fee claims are about its own service: “No fee to apply” (home page) and “It doesn’t cost anything to evaluate your options” (FAQ). Neither says the new loan is free. The process page says RefiJet explains “any associated costs, such as state title fees,” the documents page says the loan agreement sets out costs “such as the cost of GAP and/or ESC, state fees or taxes,” and the Terms say the lender’s fees “may be higher or lower depending on your credit profile.” No page gives an amount.

**What RefiJet prints about money, read 16 October 2026**

| Item | What RefiJet says | Where |
| --- | --- | --- |
| RefiJet’s fee to you | “No fee to apply” | Home page |
| Who pays RefiJet | The lender, “for funded loans” | Owner’s About page |
| The lender’s fees | “may be higher or lower depending on your credit profile” | Terms |
| Added to the new loan | State title fees, GAP or ESC if chosen, state fees or taxes; no amounts | Process and documents pages |
| Prepayment penalty | “Auto refinance loans through RefiJet never have a pre-payment penalty” | Blog, 17 March 2026 |
| Who sets your rate | The participating lender; RefiJet “plays no role” | Terms |

On rates, the Terms warn that the lender’s offer “may be different than the information and estimate we provided.” The rates page itself carries one line of body text, “Rich Textbox for additional information,” and the Advertising Disclosure in the footer (updated 21 January 2026) concerns rates “from companies which Credible receives compensation,” though no rate table appeared on any page we read.

Here is how the printed terms of other refinance services this site has read compare, each copied from that page’s records with its read date. It is not a ranking.

## The $150 a month claim, and what 96 months does

RefiJet’s home page says “Lower car payment by an average of $150/month,” with a footnote: the average “reflects loans where the borrower chose to lower their monthly payment,” “Not every auto refinance is intended to lower monthly payment,” and “These savings are not guaranteed.” The Auto Refinancing page adds that RefiJet “has funded more than $54.5M in auto loan refinances,” with customers “lowering their average payment from $727 to $596/month,” under an asterisk with no footnote. A September 2025 post calls the same change “a real-world savings of $134/month.” By our arithmetic, $727 minus $596 is $131: three figures for one claim, none saying how much came from a longer loan. (Both pages also cite average rates, which we do not repeat.)

RefiJet’s own posts say where part of the saving comes from. A March 2026 post calls a longer-term loan “One of the best ways to lower your monthly payment” and “one of the ways we help our clients who want a lower monthly payment, save an average of $150/month.” The September 2025 post warns that “Extending your loan term could cost you more in interest” and works an example: $40,000 at 8% over five years, $811.06 a month and $8,663.35 of interest. After a year, with $2,955.07 of interest paid and $33,222.40 left, a refinance at 7% that keeps the same payoff date saves $744.20; a new five-year loan at 7% lowers the payment to $657.84 but would “increase the amount of interest you pay by more than $500.” Our arithmetic reproduces RefiJet’s figures to the cent. We then stretched the same refinance to the longer terms RefiJet prints.

**RefiJet’s own $40,000 example, stretched to its longest term (RefiJet’s rows, then our arithmetic; fees, taxes and add-ons ignored)**

| Loan | Term | Monthly payment | Total interest on the car | Against the original loan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Original loan, 8% (RefiJet) | 60 months, 48 left | $811.06 | $8,663.35 | The baseline |
| 7%, same payoff date (RefiJet) | 48 months | $795.55 | $7,919.15 | $744.20 less |
| 7%, new five-year loan (RefiJet) | 60 months | $657.84 | $9,203.27 | $539.92 more |
| 7%, stretched (our arithmetic) | 72 months | $566.41 | $10,514.11 | $1,850.76 more |
| 7%, stretched (our arithmetic) | 84 months | $501.42 | $11,851.53 | $3,188.18 more |
| 7%, RefiJet’s longest term (our arithmetic) | 96 months | $452.94 | $13,215.37 | $4,552.02 more |

At 96 months the payment falls by $358.12, which would count toward a payment-savings average, but the car is paid off 108 months after purchase instead of 60, at $4,552.02 more interest than the original loan despite a rate a point lower. Ask for the same-payoff-date option as well as any longer one; our [refinancing guide](https://baronauto1.com/financing/refinance-a-car-loan/#when-worth-it) sets out the test that matters, the total you will pay.

**A lower payment is not the same as a cheaper loan.** RefiJet’s averages count payment cuts, and its own March 2026 post ties them to longer terms. On RefiJet’s own example, 96 months cuts the payment by $358.12 but adds $4,552.02 of interest, by our arithmetic. Compare totals, not payments.

## From application to payoff: two credit checks and the payment break

RefiJet describes two credit checks. Its Auto Refinancing page says “RefiJet does an initial review with just a soft pull to your credit”; the sentence promising a soft pull still carries two editing marks, “[SG3] [RR4],” in the live text. Its FAQ: “A hard credit inquiry only occurs when you formally apply.” The Terms set out the order: RefiJet gets your consumer report “with your permission”; if you proceed, the participating lender “will obtain a credit report on you.” The Legal Consents authorize “RefiJet and, in some cases, our lender partner(s)” to pull your report, without saying soft or hard. Gravity Lending’s FAQ, by contrast, describes a hard pull before any offer.

Plan on a hard inquiry once you choose a lender. A June 2026 RefiJet post says offers based on a soft check “may change once the lender verifies your income and runs a hard credit check,” and suggests keeping hard-pull applications “to a tight 14-day window”; our [refinancing guide](https://baronauto1.com/financing/refinance-a-car-loan/#shopping) explains why bunching applications limits the damage.

The process runs largely by phone: the Terms say your information is used “to contact you by telephone,” and a Financial Services Representative takes the application. Once you pick an option, RefiJet submits it to that lender, explains the decision and costs, puts the documents in a secure portal and sends “a pre-paid UPS label” for the originals, then handles the title and the payoff. The documents include a Power of Attorney, which “authorizes a third-party to facilitate the transfer of title.” Signed PDFs stay in the portal “for thirty (30) days,” so save copies. A Spanish notice atop the Terms says contracts are signed in English and translations are only a courtesy.

On timing the pages disagree: “between a few days to two weeks” (Auto Refinancing FAQ) or “between 15 and 30 days,” up to 45 for some lenders (calculator page). Keep paying the old loan until its lender confirms the payoff; our list of [what lenders ask for](https://baronauto1.com/financing/refinance-a-car-loan/#what-you-need) covers the paperwork.

Then the payment break. The home page says “No payments for up to 3 months.” A February 2026 post is more modest: “a month when you do not have to make a loan payment,” since “Most often, there’s a gap of 30-to- 45 days” between the two lenders’ payments. A 2020 release said “sometimes up to 90 days.” The February post also says “Your refinance loan is a simple interest loan,” but no RefiJet page says whether interest builds during the wait. Caribou prints it for its own loans: “Interest on the loan begins to accrue on the loan closing date.” If your lender works the same way, three months on RefiJet’s own $33,222.40 balance at 7% adds about $581.39 of interest, by our arithmetic. Ask the lender, in writing, before you take the later date.

**Figure: Annotated photograph**

Three numbered callouts over the photograph mark the document being signed, the fanned papers and the last page, each with one fact from RefiJet’s Terms, FAQ and home page.

RefiJet’s Terms, FAQ and home page, read on 16 October 2026: RefiJet arranges the loan; a lender it does not name approves, funds and services it (callout 1); RefiJet’s own check is a soft pull; the lender pulls credit when you formally apply (callout 2); Up to 3 months to the first payment, its home page says; ask when interest starts (callout 3). The photograph is illustrative.

## GAP and service contracts, and what RefiJet does not print

RefiJet sells two optional products with the loan; its Terms say “RefiJet does not require the purchase of any product or service” to apply. The FAQ: “GAP and ESC are optional ancillary products that can be included in your refinance loan. That means that the cost is spread out over the term of your new loan.” The owner’s site says they are “lender-provided or through other product administrators approved by Lender.” No page names the provider.

**RefiJet’s add-on products, as its own pages describe them (read 16 October 2026)**

| Product | What RefiJet says it does | Terms it prints | Price |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) | Pays the difference between the insurer’s payout and your loan balance after a total loss or theft | Up to 150% of retail value; pays “your deductible up to $1,000 (or applicable state limit)”; “does not cover late fees or extensions”; suggested when loan-to-value is over 70% | “only adds a few dollars to your monthly payment” (FAQ); “typically costs less than $100 a year” (GAP page); no RefiJet price |
| Extended Service Contract (ESC) | Repairs including engine, transmission and electronics; towing and lodging “may” be covered | “any ASE certified mechanic”; an old contract may bring “a pro-rated refund from the provider” | “competitive pricing” and “raising your payment slightly” (FAQ); “Some plans cost a few hundred dollars per year, while others can be more” (ESC page); no RefiJet price |

Each product page contradicts itself once. The GAP page says the coverage “even pays your deductible up to $1,000”; its FAQ says GAP “doesn’t cover repairs, deductibles or missed payments.” The ESC page promises “any ASE certified mechanic”; its FAQ says most contracts use “a network of approved repair shops.” Only the contract you sign settles either point. RefiJet’s GAP example does add up: a $15,000 car with $17,000 owed leaves the $2,000 the coverage pays.

The FAQ’s “a few dollars” a month hides the total: by our arithmetic, each $1,000 rolled into a loan at the 7% of RefiJet’s example over 96 months adds $13.63 a month and $308.84 of interest. Existing GAP “will not transfer to your new loan,” RefiJet notes, though “you might be entitled to a pro-rated refund.” Ask for each product’s full price, provider and cancellation terms; our guides to [whether GAP is worth it](https://baronauto1.com/financing/is-gap-insurance-worth-it/) (and [GAP refunds](https://baronauto1.com/financing/is-gap-insurance-worth-it/#refunds)), [extended warranties](https://baronauto1.com/financing/is-an-extended-warranty-worth-it/) and [service contract costs](https://baronauto1.com/financing/extended-car-warranty-cost/) help with the answers.

## What you agree to: calls, data and no arbitration clause

The contact consent is broad: giving a phone number means you “consent to be contacted for marketing and business purposes,” including by “prerecorded/artificial voice messages” and “automatic telephone dialing systems, even if the contact results in a charge to you,” though it is not “a condition of purchasing.”

On data, the FAQ says “We do not share or sell your data for use by other companies,” but the GLBA notice says RefiJet shares “For joint marketing with other financial companies” and for its affiliate to market to you (you can limit the second), though not for non-affiliates. The Website Privacy Policy (updated 5 October 2026) says RefiJet uses Wingify to record visits, “including our online loan application,” with form fields masked, keeps personal data for 2 years after last use, and says both that its site “responds to ‘Do Not Track’ signals” and that it “currently does not respond” to them.

The dispute terms are where RefiJet differs most from the other refinance services this site has read. Its Terms contain no arbitration clause, no class-action or jury waiver and no governing-law clause; nor do its consent or privacy pages. Gravity Lending’s terms provide for binding arbitration with no opt-out; Caribou’s, RateGenius’s and Autopay’s provide for it but let you reject it within 30 days. The Terms do limit RefiJet: it accepts no liability to you that “IN THE AGGREGATE IS MORE THAN $200,” your “sole and exclusive remedy” if unhappy is to stop using the service, and continued use counts as accepting changed Terms. They also say “Your loan documents will contain the terms that are specific to that finance transaction”: the lender’s contract is separate, and it may have an arbitration clause of its own, so read it.

## Complaints and the public record

The CFPB’s [consumer complaint database](https://www.consumerfinance.gov/data-research/consumer-complaints/) files RefiJet under its owner: its own company-name search returns “Yield Solutions Group, LLC” for “yield solutions” and nothing for “refijet.” It lists 22 complaints against that company received through 15 October 2026: 6 in 2023, 2 in 2024, 10 in 2025 and 4 so far in 2026, with none before 2023. By product, 15 concern vehicle loans or leases (14 loans, 1 lease) and 7 credit reports. Of the 22, 18 were “Closed with explanation,” 3 with non-monetary relief and 1 with monetary relief, and all 22 were answered on time. These are unverified consumer reports, counts grow with a company’s size, and the CFPB has published no narratives since 30 September 2026.

We read no complaint text, so those are labels, not findings. CFPB enforcement searches for both names returned nothing, the Texas OCCC’s [enforcement table](https://occc.texas.gov/publications/legal/enforcement-actions/) lists no action naming Yield Solutions Group or RefiJet, and EDGAR has no filing by either. Two web searches found no state attorney-general action or lawsuit naming either, and we read no court filing, so this page describes none; a search is not a clearance. BBB’s site blocked our requests. A 2021 RefiJet release says it “holds a BBB A+ Rating,” and its home page claims a “4.8 star rating from 1000+ reviews on Google”; we could not check either.

## Before you apply with RefiJet

- **Get your own numbers first.** A payoff quote and the payments you have left, so you compare totals.
- **Expect two credit checks.** RefiJet’s is soft; the lender’s is a hard inquiry. Shop within a short window.
- **Get the lender’s name and contract.** Read its note, itemized fees and any arbitration clause before you sign.
- **Ask for the same-payoff-date option.** On RefiJet’s own example, a longer term costs more than the original loan.
- **Ask when interest starts.** Get in writing how the first-payment date works and whether interest runs during the wait.
- **Price each add-on separately.** Total cost, provider and refund terms.
- **Save your documents.** The portal keeps signed PDFs for thirty days.
- **Check the licence.** Texas lists it under Yield Solutions Group, LLC; ask RefiJet for its NMLS number and your state’s licence.

## Common questions

### Is RefiJet a lender or a broker?

It arranges loans that participating lenders make. Its Terms say “RefiJet is not a lender and does not make credit decisions,” and its owner’s site says the lender funds, books and services the loan. It does hold a Texas Regulated Lender licence, under the name Yield Solutions Group, LLC.

### Is RefiJet legit?

The Texas OCCC lists refijet.com under Yield Solutions Group, LLC, licence 159709, now transitioned to NMLS. The CFPB lists 22 complaints against that company through 15 October 2026, all answered on time, and no enforcement action. Whether an offer suits you depends on the lender’s terms and total cost.

### Does RefiJet do a hard credit pull?

RefiJet’s own first check is a soft pull, its pages say. Its FAQ says a hard inquiry “only occurs when you formally apply,” when the lender “will obtain a credit report on you,” in the words of its Terms.

### What credit score do you need for RefiJet?

Its home page prints a minimum credit score of 560, along with an existing auto loan on your credit file and a minimum income of $1,900 single or $2,200 joint. The participating lender decides.

### Does RefiJet charge fees?

RefiJet says there is “No fee to apply”; its owner says the lender pays it for funded loans. The new loan can include the lender’s fees, state title fees, taxes, and GAP or a service contract if you add them; no amounts are printed.

### Does RefiJet do lease buyouts and cash-out refinancing?

Yes, by its own pages: lease buyout loans with “No down payment required for qualified buyers,” and cash-out loans “for more than you owe.” Neither has limits beyond the general 24 to 96 months and $5,000 to $150,000.
